That’s what we like.....Cheap Labor! LOL!
Heading out to grandson Christian’s BD party. His bd was yesterday but he was busy with a jr varsity baseball game last night. 15 - seems like only yesterday I cradled him in my arms. Now it’s hugs
People in Texas have trouble with all those "shalls" and "shall nots" in the Ten Commandments.
Folks there just aren't used to talking in those terms. So, some folks out in west Texas got together and translated the "King James" into "King Ranch" language:
The Cowboy's Ten Commandments
(1) Just one God.
(2) Honor yer Ma & Pa.
(3) No tellin' tales or gossipin'.
(4) Git yourself to Sunday meetin'.
(5) Put nothin' before God.
(6) No foolin' around with another fellow's gal.
(7) No killin.'
(8) Watch yer mouth.
(9) Don't take what ain't yers.
(10) Don't be hankerin' for yer buddy's stuff.
TREAT OTHERS JUST THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED
Yes, DD. “Seems like only yesterday”, doesn’t it?
George Hamilton’s mother was on one of the morning talk shows, many years ago (I think she was being interviewed by Diane Sawyer - but don’t recall).
“Mrs. Hamilton - how old are you?” Then, after a short pause, “Oh, I’m so sorry. I should know better than to ask a woman her age!”
“Oh, my dear,” Mrs. Hamilton replied, “You can’t lie about your age, when your son needs a face lift!”
I still smile when I think of that interaction.
My son has grey hair, now, and it is a reminder of how far up in the years this granny is getting. LOL!!!
I know you had a great time at your grandson’s Birthday party!
Isn’t that the sweetest story and that precious little dog was so thankful and wanted to lick the man’s face who was helping him. Just darling and so touching. I would take that sweet dog.
I always liked that song and Brenda Lee, too!
A little side note concerning my April 1st birthday. My dad’s birthday was March 31st and they wanted me to be born that day so bad and as my Dad always teased me that “You were always stubborn starting on your birthday.” And Dad knew I was anything but stubborn through my life! Just some tidbits of life....LOL!
Love it, Dubya!
Awww, thank you so much, my dear Kitty! Beautiful rose and sentiments and you always remember my FAVORITE COLOR! I appreciate you more than you know. ((((HUGS))))
I hope Christian had a wonderful birthday party. The older we get the faster the months and years rush by, Dave! Thats why we try to grab each and every happy moment possible.
And AMEN to God Blessing our wonderful Troops! We would never be able to thank them enough for what they have done and still do FOR US!
During Major Gen. Mark Grahams 2 years as commander of Fort Carson, Colorado, he became known and loved for the way he treated others. One US Army colleague said: I have never come across another general officer who was so compassionate and so concerned about the well-being of soldiers and their families. After losing one son to suicide and another who was killed in action, Mark and his wife, Carol, dedicated themselves to helping soldiers and their families cope with service-related stress, depression, and loss.
In the book of Acts, a follower of Christ was well known for his care and concern toward others. His name was Joseph, but in the early church, the apostles called him Barnabasson of encouragement. It was Barnabas who vouched for the newly converted Saul when others doubted the sincerity of his faith (Acts 9:26-27). Later, Barnabas brought Saul from Tarsus to teach the believers in Antioch (11:25-26). And it was Barnabas who wanted to give John Mark a second chance after his failure on a previous missionary journey (15:36-38).
Compassion is an inner feeling resulting in outward action. It should be our daily uniform of service (Col. 3:12). By Gods grace, may we be known for it.
Read: Acts 11:19-26
Welcome back, Mary Lou..I am thrilled you are getting Lynn..I know they will approve..drums and all!
I know that once you walked
This way many years ago,
What you did along the way
I'd really like to know
For sometimes when I'm tempted
I don't know what to do
So walk a little plainer, Daddy,
For I must follow you.
Someday when I'm grown up.
You are like I want to be,
Then I will have a little boy
Who will want to follow me
And I want to lead him right.
And help him to be true
So walk a little plainer, Daddy
For we must follow you.
Hope you all have a RELAXING day, like me! :)
Oh Yum! My very favorite thing! I have 5 in my candy hiding place now....LOL! I have a big red apple on the back of one of the counters and I always kept candy in there for my granddaughters when they visited. They would go to the big red apple to see what I had in there and get what they wanted!
Now I use it for myself mostly! LOL! After Easter is over, there will be no more marshmallow eggs...boohoo! What WILL I do? I could write new words to that old song “What’ll I Do?” Remember that one!
Tears because I love it.
Happy Caturday to YOU, too, Tiapam and everyone!
I got this in my email this morning, and it woke me up! Wait ‘til you hear this little boy (8 years old) playing a tribute to Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass on his trumpet.
His name is Geoffrey Gallente and he is incredibly GOOD!!
It appears YOU aren't the only one
Taking the day off! LOL!
Happy Caturday, Luvie!

Here he is playing “It is well with my soul”:
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live:
If Jordan above me shall roll,
No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life
Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.
But, Lord, tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait,
The sky, not the grave, is our goal;
Oh trump of the angel! Oh voice of the Lord!
Blessèd hope, blessèd rest of my soul!
And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.
Glad you liked it, Jaycee! Hope you have a relaxing day, after YOUR day, yesterday!! :)
I just learned something about video’s not playing sometimes.
The first time I played Frank’s song, it was perfect and after I posted it, I checked it again to see is all was okay. The video would start and as soon as the advertisement on the right started moving, it messed up the video, plus I couldn’t get the back button to work. When the moving video stopped, the video started playing again. And this happened over and over.
Heehee....too much birthday celebratin’? :)
HAPPY CATURDAY, Ms. Bloaded!
I wonder how they got all those cats up there for the photo? (Guess it was a ‘CATurday’ contest shoot!) LOL!
Are the videos I posted this morning not working, JC?
That is SO true, Dubya. Sniff, sniff.
Thank you for posting it. I hope you are feeling better each day! Happy CATurday to you!
Father, help me to be encouraging and inspiring to those around me and with whom I come in contact, daily as I go about, amen.
Compassionate is the LORD. He shares in our suffering, he gives aid, sympathy, mercy; Thank thee LORD for thy compassion on thy children. We are encouraged by His Word. Praise the LORD!
