A flock of ten flamingoes have met a brutal end at a zoo in Eskilstuna in eastern Sweden after a curious anteater broke into their compound and clawed them to death, leaving a further five birds nursing injuries.

Woohoo! LoM just got home. With two artichokes, Rolling Rock (shhhh... it’s in cans!), a couple of my Paris photos with frames to put them in — for gifts tomorrow.

I’m off to bed with the smell of rain on the desert to give me some of Nature’s best Aromatherapy...

When you are out and about, it’s probably safer to dress that way.

Rolling Rock is one of the few American beers I like (this category is not including microbrewery products). Was introduced to it by my father-in-law when I flew back East to ask his daughter's hand in marriage.

Good stuff and like Vernor's Ginger Ale is now available on the West Coast (I endured over 3 decades without Vernor's!).

Every time I hoist a Rolling Rock, I remember my father-in-law, may he rest in peace. He was a good man (and mentor) and we miss him.

In a case of wishful thinking, I put up some bamboo poles today for the survivors of my original batch of pole-bean seeds. I don’t know if any of the others will come up. I have peas up; they’re rather scattered from the cat-diggins, but I expected to have to thin them, anyway.

Ash keeps lying on the new dill sprouts!

Prep for partly cloudy, ~49 to ~70 degrees, and breezy.

It’s still pretending to be early March, here, but you’ve missed the rain.

"I blame the anteater’s parents."

When the only fingers you have are scimitar-like claws, everything looks like a termite mound.

funny pictures - Through the miracle of plastic, we are now able to observe first hand just how the cat fits himself in those tight spaces.

It was 50 when I got up this morning, but at least the wind isn’t blowing. Still, it’s cold in here. We were supposed to get another 3” of snow on Mt. Charleston, but I didn’t hear if it alctually came. It was nasty enough yesterday afternoon to make me think we got that and more.

SUMMER! Where are you?? I’m so tired of being cold!
