When I use an iPhone and an Android phone at the same time, I often find that apps from the same company look a lot different on these two platforms - the ones on Android usually look much worse.
Here is a couple of examples.
This is what Meebo IM looks on Android, the contact list screen and the conversation screen:
and this is what Meebo IM looks on iPhone:
I think the difference is pretty obvious. The one on Android pretty much looks like a programming class project. The contact items are too narrow and thus hard to click. They also look bad. The conversation interface is like a geeky IRC client. Those smiley icons are disproportionately small. On the other hand, the interface on iPhone looks much much more polished.
Here is another example - the Facebook launch interface on iPhone vs. Android:
The same thing here. In the Android interface, icons are not properly aligned. The extra space makes the view look very awkward.
Last example is the user interface of Speedtest:
I think it’s because when you program for iOS it’s only for iPhone where android has a lot of phones with different resolutions. Where the iPhone has one phone and one tablet with high resolutions
It must be something with Android. The apps on my wifes Phone (Windows Phone 7) look far better then on my Hero.

iPhones are like Barbie dolls, they are made to look cute and be easy to play with. Droids are like a Jeep. Not exactly the best looking but are more fun to tinker with and can crush rocks.

Or perhaps the assertion that the apps all look so much better on the iPhone is entirely subjective, and made by somebody so besotted by all things Apple that he can't be taken seriously.
Perhaps this individual is so loopy (as clearly demonstrated by the use the wretchedly painful and pathetic words "implants the ignorance of beauty, usability and focus on details into the community at the first place") that he can only be mocked and laughed at as a goofball who really needs to get a life.

Wow! I must say no one can compete with Apple on appearance. A lot of people don’t care ... but Apple cares. And I appreciate it.

You've never rocked climbed in a Jeep have you? Droids and Apple just have different customer bases. Some like out of the package pretty, some like gadgets and tinkering.
Either way if it has tits or tires it’s going to give you trouble.
