And it amazes me how celebs want to share their political views, as if they are doing us some service by sharing their ignorance. They don’t seem to understand how they are driving away customers as if their money isn’t good enough. Morons.

the survey also indicated that Mac users were, on average, more urban, younger and more educated than PC users, which could potentially be a contributing factor toward being more liberal. That would also probably indicate that they were buried in federally "guaranteed" student loans, which would make them serfs of the federal government.

Well I’m a recent Mac convert. I’ve been in IT for a long time and still made the switch to Mac.
Apple is simply making a higher quality product. In fact the quality with Apple products simply has no equal in the PC industry.

Hey, if I’m all busy watching the screen and the keyboard, how can I possibly watch myself too? That’s just madness, man.

This thread is too binary:

"What about those of us who use both?" Just don't listen to NPR while you use it. They broadcast the sync signal that lets the Mac interface hypno virus start to corrode your neural nets and build new pathways where you don't want them.

Seems to me that the sampling technique employed for this "survey" leaves much to be desired. The ratio of Windows users to MAC users in the real world is much greater than the 53 to 25 percent (a little over 2:1) obtained here. I don't know offhand the exact percentage of the personal computer market using MAC operating systems, but I'm sure it's nowhere close to one in three, and it may even be as low as single digits.

Steve Jobs is a cult figure for the easily brainwashed youths of this nation, just like our President. That said, Apple is an amazing company. I run windows on may laptop but am an Iphone addict.

"more educated = better indoctrinated" You got that right. It's actually a big joke on the Mac users who think they've got something different. There is no Mac anymore. There's an Apple interface running on, essentially, BSD Unix and Wintel hardware. Wow, really kewl, dude.

Windows used to come with MicroSoft Basic, but no more. Since Office for home use is only $100 smackers, I've learned to use Excel 2007 VBA for home projects. Have you looked at Windows Powershell?
To: sphinx
That's not a knock on Macs. It's a tribute to effective marketing. If it was all that effective, it wouldn't just work on liberals.

I use have and use both and I am staunchly conservative.

Guess you totally bought into the lies. The Mac users are slaves who must take what they are given from big brother and are not allowed to make changes. PC users are free to choose what hardware, operating system, and software applications they use and free to modify their systems to suit their needs.

Have you looked at Windows Powershell? Not until you just mentioned it. It seems to be more oriented to system administration. VBA is essentially free and easy to use. What are the advantages of Windows Powershell?
To: sphinx
I’d like to try a Mac for my graphics work but I’m not interested in paying the price. Also I like being able to fix the computer myself.
