It almost pains me to say this, but Romney is sounding good on Greta. Almost as good as Trump.

I think Romney is a wishy/washy as they come, and I will vote for the GOP nominee, but I know for sure, if it's Romney, he cannot defeat Obummer!

WE seriously cannot be split up & have to find a really STRONG candidate, this country cannot survive til 2012 under Obummer, 4 more years of him & we will be all under marxist/muzzie rule. America will be no more.

It would be extremely difficult for me to hold my nose long enough to vote for him.

Basically, the same as Obama, except a bit more to the right.

What is with you guys?

You have an infatuation with liberal Republicans.

Next you'll be promoting Giuliani.

NO Trump, NO Romney and NO Giuliani!

Yes, Mitt Romney sounds competent on trade policy. Too bad he's an authoritarian socialist. Given his stance on several other, even more critical issues (like, say, the Second Amendment and socialized medicine) I could care less what Mitt has to say about trade policy. For Chrissake, he's running for President of the United States.

Let's elect a President who has a clue on Freedom, Patriotism, and unalienable rights.

And then let Sarah nominate him for Secretary of Commerce or something suitable to his qualifications, because

Gun-banner Mitt Romney is not fit to be President...

I’d cast a vote for Romney before I would for that POS Trump. Romney didn’t try to wrench some old lady’s home away from her for limo parking.

To me, eminent domain abuse is an unforgivable offense.

Oh really? Well, how do you stand on Second Amendment abuse? How forgivable is that?

Because Romney is as enthusiastic a gun-banner as you will find in the Republican Party. He supports semi-auto bans, as does his northeastern brother, NJ Gov. Chris Christie.

Either one of these gentlemen might make a fine cabinet secretary in a Palin administration, but neither one of these gun-grabbers deserves to be anywhere near the Oval Office.

Whatever else George W. Bush's faults may have been, at least he let Clinton's tyrannical semi-auto ban expire, to his credit and my eternal gratitude.

The GOP Establishment needs to get it through their thick skulls that a northeast liberal Republican is not acceptable to the TEA party base on which they MUST depend to win the Presidency.

And yet, fomenting such a candidate upon conservatives seems to be the GOP's sole desire.

I simply won't EVER vote for a gun-grabber for President. I just can't hold my nose that tightly...

“The differences between the two cases couldn’t be wider.”

Therefore the Wassila Alaska deal is NOT eminent domain, period.

The court was simply used to enforce a pre-existing contract.

Don’t give a damn for Romney (RINO and non Conservative) but if he is the one running against Obama, he has my vote.

Romney is an uapologetic a gun-banner. The "lesser of two evils argument" does not hold water when it comes to Romney's rabid and unconstitutional hostility towards the Second Amendment.

I'd prefer to preserve my sacred honor in that case.

Yes, even if it means Obama is reelected.

If the GOP Establishment manages somehow to engineer a Romney nomination (and Rove and his ilk have done the best they can so far) they absolutely deserve to lose the Presidential election in 2012, and, IMHO, the fault will lie with them, not the voters who refuse to embrace Romney...

That kind of thinking got King Obama elected. Any R would be better than the communists black Muslim.

No it's not. There was no big third party factor in 2008. Simply because someone has an "R" in front of their name doesn't mean they'd make a better President than Obama. Admittedly, that's not a very tough standard to meet.

However, given Romneycare, as well as Romney's RABID hostility towards the Second Amendment, he looks to be every bit as much as an authoritarian socialist as Obama is.

Given two such indistinguishable choices, the American people would probably just stick with the status quo.

A Romney nomination is a formula for an Obama reelection. Party loyalty can be taken too far. The American people need someone who can stand in stark contrast to Obama's socialism, and if the GOP can only provide a cheap imitation of Obama, then they do not deserve my loyalty, nor will they get it.

I can already hear the gnashing of teeth which will occur if Romney is nominated, as conservatives/TEA partiers/libertarians and the like are told that they will be wasting their vote and handing the election to Obama, if they reject the GOP.

Whatever else may happen, I predict that staunch conservatives and loyal Republicans such as Jim Robinson will not be able to hold their nose tightly enough to vote for Romney or his ilk. And neither will I.

If the GOP establishment disregards the fierce TEA party political headwinds, and instead foments someone like Romney upon us, then Obama can look forward to being reelected. To my sensibilities, such an idiotic and politically deaf GOP choice is virtually the ONLY thing which could save Obama.

The blame for such a debacle would lie solely with the GOP establishment, not the voters who rightly refused to embrace Romney's alternate version of Tyranny...

Mitt’s really not stupid and he’s (and Palin, Trump, et al.) picked up on the voter’s message that was sent to the GOP in 2010.

Talk is cheap, and Romney has a speech for every listener!

I won't support any candidare who shows the slightest possibility of wavering on RKBA, amnesty for illegals and the other core conservative principles.

Romney is go along to get along, the end justifies the means wishy washy from top to bottom.

You got that right, they intend to put a personality on the platform and tell us it's either the pretty hairdo or Obama. It's the old lesser of evils crap again, the difference will be barely enough to notice and still evil!

We put some decent people in office but the GOP hierarchy continues to ignore our interests just the same.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Yeah, keep saying that, they're counting on it at RNC headquarters!

We will never get decent candidates if we don't take a stand.

If this is what you're going to do at least have the decency to keep it to yourself, stop undermining the efforts of those of us who want our nation back!

Exactly right. We can always toss them out after one term if we’re not happy. We’ve never had an America-hating Marxist in the WH before. It’s not like the GOP establishment is putting forth much of a selection. It beats giving the commie a second term to do irreparable damage. These are dire circumstances.

No vote for Romney here, no matter what he says. He is a gun-grabber, and therefore an oathbreaker. He is telling a LIE if he pledges to protect and defend the Constitution.
