I don’t know. But the image that is on the paper obviously is rolled on the left side. How does that fit into the equation? Do they scan from a book and print it on the paper that already has a background on it? Or is it printed at the same time as the image. We need a unbiased expert to examine the original. Trump has the resources to get that done. Leave it to obumber to half ass answer the question.
I knew something was up when I saw the white edges around all of the graphics when I blew up the image.

The AP version was copied from a piece of paper, whether or not the paper was faked. The White House Version was ASSEMBLED, and it was done partly using a color scanner and partly using a black and white scanner, and then putting them together.
No doubt about it. The White House version simply is NOT a simple scan of a piece of paper. The evidence is overwhelming.
Last week, Hawaii suddenly stopped allowing folks to obtain their Long-Form BC.
Are they worried that other BC’s, floating around town, would allow us to compare with Omoslem’s BC (and spot problems)?

We’ve always known they’d forge a BC for him...what we worried about is the forgery would be soooooo gooooood...it would be next to impossible to prove it was forged...now look the these very stupid criminal thugs...they didn’t even fake a good forgery....

On a couple of other threads, I was proposing logical explanations for a few things that people were excited about. (Most of which I got from other FReepers) I started to look into some other points that had me concerned to see if they, too, could be rationalized and then a thought hit me: How many oddities does it take before it's just too much of a stretch for anyone to buy that this document is legit?
I would say that three good weird things that have less than obvious explanations would be easily acceptable for me.
OK, then what about four? Five? Ten? Would I be able to accept more than a dozen things that point to an object being a fake if someone sat me down and said, "I know it looks wrong; but, you see..."
I quit counting "off points" at twelve a few hours ago.
But microfiche itself presented whole new problems in the manner of storage and even quicker solutions were presented, such as digitalizing the microfiche library and putting it in computer databases. Now long form birth certificates are a couple clicks away.
Once printed, stamped and dated, these documents can then be transmitted in electronic format from scanning printers that can convert a document to PDF for sending electronically. And this really appears to be pretty standard everywhere I've been (counties of 600,000+ people.)
The methodology that scanning copiers use to not only create PDFs, but also in storing documents for multiple printings breaks the image up into elements, and those elements are combined to make the PDF or the print. You can also specify a background image to go into the PDF - naturally you wouldn't have it in the original document, as that could affect the print onto the security paper.
This is his real long form birth certificate. Kudos to Trump to extract that which no one else could get him to cough up. And it does absolutely nothing to settle the question if Obama’s a naturally born citizen or not, aside from providing a legal record that his mother was under 25 at the time of his birth, and a legal establishment of his father. It does nothing to establish his father's US citizenship, a requirement for a naturally born citizen.
I honestly think that this is one of those cases where success in the past is affecting people's viewpoints. Yes, CBS faked a document. Continued declarations that this is a fake will just result in the registrar in Hawaii to post the ‘original’ that was scanned in a frame on the wall in their lobby. It is becoming a distraction whereas for the first time, Obama has provided the same type of documents that we're required to provide to get even welfare, much less the presidency. Now to go after those school records and immigration records for his father.
Well I’m not convinced yet. But if you think about it, a forgery would require asking someone to break the law. Not just anybody would be willing to do that. And you will find that the better people are at their craft the more ethical they generally are. We may even find out that obumber had to get his daughter to forge this because he could not trust anyone, nor figure out how to turn the computer on.
Well like I said, I’m not convinced. You present a plausible case.
Thanks - what this guys says makes 100% sense. Many others are opining about “fakes” and all, but they can’t prove it’s “fake” - what they should be saying as this guy says, is that the document they released is “assembled”, and is not a scan from a record book as many people will assume.
Why? That’s the $64,000 question. Is the BC only available in electronic form? Or is it a fake, a fabrication?
The document released today doesn’t close the debate, it just shifts it to technical imaging and document archival methods.
To people that use Adobe this is a forgery.

I don’t know Marie, I was convinced early in the day it was a legit document from the archives, but as the day wears on I am starting to get that bad feeling in my stomach. This guy in the video makes a pretty convincing case without dipping into the “layering” and race of the father and the addresses and names of the hospital and the stuff that was pretty easy to dismiss.
This video feels pretty devastating, the guy sure sounds like he has been down this road before.
You make a number of good points.
Part of the problem is semantics...we can use the word “fake” to mean “not real” or to mean “false”, as in “untruthful”. What is clear is that the document released today is “assembled” and not a direct scan of a paper copy of a longform BC as many would assume just from looking at the image. But being an “assembled” document in pdf form doesn’t say anything about the veracity of the information on the form.
Trump forced the issue, a win for him as we all know Obama and his people had to think they were in a tight spot to release this after all this time. But it does nothing to settle the concern over eligibility, and so the debate goes on...
no the 54k question is that obama wrote in his book that he found his original in his bible and if thats a case why the need to get a document that was generated april 25 2010 why not use the document that he found in his bible.
One of them is the "Green Background" certificate. I believe that has been shown to have been assembled (by someone unknown) from various components.
The other version released today is the "White Background" certificate.
This alone is very bizarre. Why two completely different looking copies of the supposedly same document released on the same day? Where did they come from.
Obama claims he sent his lawyers to get the docs. Did they get both the Green and White versions?
White Birth Certificate It seems clear someone decided to make the White version look more official, so they created the Green version. That was an incredibly stupid thing to do, but it was obviously done.
The version that needs to be either debunked or authenticated is the white version. Karl Denninger says it's a clean photo of an actual document.
So far all the analysis is on the Green version. Case closed on that. But the White version is much more convincing and doesn't have a bunch of the manipulations that the Green has.
Which is a good thing, this needs to be dug into on a technical level.
One thing that has been bugging me the last hour or so is why the document as released is from a bound volume and not a plain dump from a digital file. The curve on the left from the binding is starting to seem really weird if HI converted everything over to digital instead of paper.
Cripes, I thought I had this all figured out hours ago and now I am having doubts again. Dang it, why can’t they just play us straight and show the records the state has and stop playing computer games with it?
Is the “white background” doc you refer to the same as the Associated Press scan of the Obama doc, as shown in the first part of the video?
That’s because the doctored green one was making so much noise in the intarwebs they ran the original straight to a printer, that is why it doesn’t have any of the weirdness that was picked up right away from the green one.

My 'theory' that this is a normal artifact of copiers which include document management and transmission abilities, something which is easy to duplicate by simply printing out the PDF and using a scanning copier to transmit the resulting PDF file to yourself.
This experiment has already been done by multiple people, and I'm sure that more and more people will do the same over the coming days, and get similar results.
This isn't a case of 'fake but accurate' CBS mumbo jumbo, faking a birth certificate and presenting it as real, in any method or manner, is a very serious offense. While constitutional and legal scholars will tap dance around the definition of naturally born citizen, I don't think you could find a one who'd think that Obama would survive impeachment or the senate's verdict if it did come out as being faked.
There is a utter lack of motive here - nothing in the long form proves Obama is a naturally born citizen, but it does create a legal fact who his parents were, and what their age was at the time of his birth. Now for the immigration paperwork for Obama's father...

when you think you are the smartest person in the room you just may be... However when you walk into a room of Billions of people then things get fuzzy. That is what happens when things get released in FR. It is like dropping it onto the desk of a gigantic research team. As a perpetrator you have no idea what others know and what will stick out like a sore thumb. That is the down fall of any crime.

Here’s what I *think* - but I’m not an expert.
Seems safe to assume in 1961 the original BC was typed and filed in a bound book of some sort. Some time later due to space demands and available new technology, someone issues the edict that all vital records will be microfilmed. The camera captures the “curl” of the book as an indelible part of the image, and the “book” goes into the incinerator. More time passes and another edict comes down that aging microfilm (or microfiche, I never understood the difference) records are to be digitized and stored electronically. So this leaves us with an image of what was on the microfilm as the only “longform BC” in existence. More time passes, and today under pressure from Trump, they tell someone to load the image in a Mac (someone sleuthed this out from the pdf header) and combine it with security paper background and create a 4/27/11 pdf document that looks like what people expect it to look like.
This might even explain some of the comments that we’ve heard like “the original BC no longer exists”. Referring to the paper copy, I mean.
Of course as stated previously, once in electronic form, the potential for hanky-panky goes up tremendously, and this document - however it was created - doesn’t help establish the truth of the information presented.
My theory is that the 0bama regime have a prototype time machine stashed away at Rosewell in area 52.....
it's not a complete time machine allowing operatives to be transported backwards and returned....
However, it at least allows connection into a parallel universe where 0bambi was born in the USA....
If you look at the image provided by the White House you see the birth certificate entering from the parallel universe from the slot on the left...takes form and appears as a whole page...
problem solved.

According to B.H. Obama Sr.’s immigration records, he was born June 18, 1934, which would have made him 27 when Obama was born in 1961. The document released today listed his age as 25.
