Same as me...I take a shot of this stuff and within 30 to 45 seconds - they’re gone.

Or you can take a potassium pill with a large glass of water.

I had leg cramps off and on for about 4 months...found out I had Type 2 diabetes.
If you are having leg cramps and haven’t had a glucose check lately, you might want to go get one. Especially if diabetes runs in your family.

Our doctor said to take magnesium. It works as long as you keep taking it.

Why not just take a multi-vitamin or eat more bananas (potassium K)
To: TomServo
donate blood, reduce iron, take lots of vitamin d, omega 3, chromium, whey protein, flushing niacin and green tea.

My husband also suggested that I stretch out my calves before retiring (you know, lean towards a door with flat feet on the ground a couple three feet out) and do a few push-ups against the door. I think thats beneficial too. When I get leg cramps, I utter some permutation of, "Yikes!" This irritates the wife no end because we both arise around 5 AM.
My remedy is something...anything...such as placing my feet flat and leaning forward...anything at all that forces the legs into that position...along with a sincere promise to drink more water tomorrow evening.
My problem is the wife gets bent out of shape when I utter the slightest scream of agony. I have to remind her that it isn't my fault that I neglected to sip a few pints of water.

Hi - I’m very glad the soap works for you. I thought you were looking for a different solution. My mother is an old school RN. When I developed RLS she told me about the soap and the magnesium. These were recommended remedies in her day. The soap didn’t help me, but the Mag did. I’m very glad you’re good to go! Have a good night and sleep well - Celeste

Since I would not be alert enough using a knife safely, I would just add more salt to my diet.

Thanks Celeste, there is one thing that I am going to add to my diet after reading all the posts I received and that is bananas.
I don’t like them but I’ve heard they are good for a whole host of ailments.
To all of the Freeper’s who responded, on my next doctor appointment, I am going to be asking more specific questions about a lot of things.
Thanks to all.
