Texas EquuSearch files lawsuit against Casey Anthony
Orlando Sentinel ^ | By Bianca Prieto

The volunteer search group Texas EquuSearch filed a lawsuit against Casey Anthony this afternoon, looking to recoup more than $100,000 it spent to look for Caylee Anthony in 2008.

The lawsuit alleges that Casey Anthony committed fraud because she knew her 2-year-old daughter was dead and not missing as she and her parents claimed when asking for help from EquuSearch.

"It was Jose Baez's opening statement when he said Caylee was never missing because she had died, that got me really upset," Miller said. "We were lied to and misled."

Hope they win!.....any money Casey makes off her dead little girl should go to all those who tried so hard to find her.

Truly hope all the lawsuits against her will prevail and take any and all money she makes ...away

But wait, shouldn’t they be happy with Perfessor Dershovitz’ (and many others’ here) proclamation that “the system worked!” ?

The system did work . . . for attorneys to be gamefully employed for a long time on this one. Nevermind the dead little girl.

Not to nit pick but I think you mean "gainfully" employed......of course with lawyers like Baez "gamefully might be more appropriate after all! :)

I was just telling another FReeper that if I heard that one more time I would puke. If this is working, I'd hate to see it if it were broken.

I’m listeneing to the interview of juror #11. I think this guy is an attorney or at least tried to be one. Worse yet, a possible plant to nullify the jury.

System worked about as well as as in the SEIU case today.

Oh wait, we're just supposed to say "Oopsies" and move on.

We can only hope that civil suits will be won as in OJ. I figure another poster was right when stating that Casey will screw up again and eventually end up prison for another crime.

No, we're supposed to genuflect, praise "the system" and the Obamabots on the jury and chant, "Thank you sir, I'll have another."

Sorry, not happening.

Regrettably the media, LE etc., refer to slutmom as “smart”.

What’s smart about winding up on trial for your life? Or how the lies played out?

The word they may be looking for is cunning. Come on, George. You know what to do. Any of the rest of us would be vigilantes.

Apologize to his daughter, that is. And thank her for claiming while in jail he was the best dad ever.
