I think you like to write stuff about people for a completely different reason than you gave.
Because throughout history it has been perceived as immoral and there have been many laws enacted to protect children. Both the perception and the laws, change with time and societies.

ANOTHER 'F'. Reciting a superficial history of the law is NOT the reason why the law exists. Saying it is 'perceived as immoral' is also dodging the question: it does not answer why the behavior is considered immoral.

The only thing I can figure is, if they were going away for more than just a day or evening. Maybe the weekend. As some stated, a teenager could use a check-up at least for a whole weekend.
