When I was much younger (6th grade or so) in 1966, I obtained a 45RPM single of that song and played it on my 45 "portable" player over and over until I had it memorized including every inflection and intonation.
My Mom nearly killed me.
That single would probably be a collector's item now, but I tossed it long ago, *sigh*
