A “yes” answer could put students in line to qualify for a scholarship worth one-third of tuition

Will they ask something of the applicant to prove this status? If not, why not check it to get the scholarship.

Like free lunch programs for Texas schools - it happens to be against the law for the school to even attempt to confirm the income reported on the application. There are kids on the free lunch program who are dropped off at school in late model year Caddie SUVS with 24" rims all the time.
