08/31/2011 | bert

The question upon us is .......... will she run?

Many here are ardently hoping she will

Others here have determined it is no longer a pertinent question. Events have overtaken her effort.

a few did not like her at all.

Will she or won't she?

My gut tells me she will not.

Although a great believer in Sarah, I fear events have passed her by.

She is young and there will be another day

Are you referring to the RINO cowboy?

He's only filling the vacuum.

Personally, I don’t think she will run. Like you, it’s just my “gut feeling”; I have no inside info that says so.

On the other hand, I hope she *does* run, as long as she doesn’t take too long to get in. Whether or not she gets the nomination, she will force the dialog (and the candidate pool) towards the conservative side of the spectrum and that can’t be anything but good.

If Labor Day comes and goes without an announcement or at least some overt encouragement, her potential support will turn more and more toward Perry, who has impressive momentum. Now is the time.

I’m convinced that she wants to run. Whether I think she will varies from day to day. Today, I think she will. Tomorrow I will probably think she won’t.

Agreed 100%. I don’t think she will run, and I think it would be the correct decision for her not to (regretfully).

Shhhhhosh now. Youse guys were all told to stop the speculation. Karl Rove might get wind of it and speculate she is running. And then she would have to chastise him all over again.

I am sure that trip to new Hampshire is the big moment. Or maybe not, why would she reward new Hampshire?

Actually she just said it is a short stop in NH.

Now she could end this, but why should she? Its fun.

I hope not. She’s unelectable. Despite the dreams of her fervent supporters on FR she’s poison to Independents and many, many Republicans. She’s a known quantity and huge majorities in poll after poll say they’ve made their mind up about her and won’t vote for her. She may change a few minds but I don’t see her changing many.

“My gut tells me she will not.”

My gut tells me that I cannot predict what she will do. I personally hope she runs (I think it is good for the party that she runs)....but will not be deeply upset if she doesn’t.

As things stand now if she runs. In my state primary, I will either vote for Palin or Bachmann. I’m not sure which. If she doesn’t run, then I have an easy choice to pick Bachmann. I would chose either of these women because they both (in different ways in some cases) represent best what I desire in a POTUS. However, my unreliable “gut” does tell me that either will not win the primary....but I will still vote for them.

I expect Perry or ugh Romney to be the party pick. If it is Perry and he doesn’t pick Romney for his VP, then I will support him in the general election. If it is Romney, even as VP.....well...unless I become extremely pragmatic before the general election....I cannot support him. I will vote third party or leave that part of the ballot blank. I have a visceral dislike for that man and what he represents (on many different levels.

The correct question really is, “If she eventually runs, what difference will it make?” Even people who like her are getting more and more disappointed with her. The nomination isn’t hers for the asking. She acts like she doesn’t know whether she wants it, and that’s a big problem. Indecisiveness makes her look undesirable as a candidate to the “soft” supporters who are wandering away in droves. Can she get them back in sufficient numbers? And what about the skeptics she needs to convert?

I think she will announce that she is in by the end of September not this week-end. Sarah has repeatedly said that she will announce her intentions by the end of September.

I think she knows that whoever is the Republican nominee will beat the Zero in a landslide - why wouldn't she seek the nomination?

Yes, she will. She will announce Monday in Manchester and be at the Presidential debate on Wednesday. What better way for her to enter the race than at the Reagan Library? Just my opinion.
