Lovely Monday rose, Pam. Thank you.
Thank you for that Manificent Monday orchid, Teenie.
Have you been enjoying our pleasant weather? I’ve really loved the nice evenings.
Hope your Monday is delightful.
~Enjoy your day, too!~
Have a great day and be careful out there! :)
Beautiful Monday graphic, Teenie! Thank you!!
(I doubt he'll remember her words, once the ring goes on, tho)
Yours as well, Amy!!
I have soooo been enjoying this weather. I had to actually close windows last night. Unfortunately, they are forecasting back into the high 90s for the week! *sigh*
Have a great Monday!
Does that mean I need to enjoy it twice as much? ;)
So sweet, Yorkie!! Thank you!
And, you're welcome! :)
I've been racking my brain all morning as that photo looked very familiar and just remembered. My grandmother had a picture in an oval frame of a woman who could be the twin of the one in this graphic. It was her older sister.
She passed at a young age so I never met her but I remember how lovely the photo was.
Fitting poem as well!
You don't know how lucky you are to be able to sleep with open windows! All my life, I have enjoyed the fresh air - all year long.
But, about eight or nine months ago, (or longer - I don't remember), I was sleeping with my windows open, and heard a very loud whistle - right outside the window.
I thought to myself..."That can't be a bird at 3 am.!" And, then I heard another whistle coming from a distance!
I flew out of bed and turned on the flood lights, and heard nothing more. I called the police the next morning.
The dispacher told me to NEVER leave my windows open all night - ever again! She told me that that whistle was a call - much like the coyotes make. The answer was the partner of the whistler, returning the 'call'.
She said, they were like the coyotes - and I was the rabbit!
Shortly after that incident, my flood lights (that were within reach) were 'somehow' unscrewed. So, I ordered motion detected flood lights, and had them installed under the eaves of my roof, where no one can reach them - ever again!
And, I can never 'rest' again, with my windows open!
LOL
Thank you, Yorkie.
Hope your Monday is perfect.
I wonder if someone sold your grandmther’s picture and this is it.
Thanks for sharing that story. Teenie.
That is so scary, Yorkie. I have motion detector lights but only open windows that open into the fenced yard. Max is large enough to scare people and Daisy is the barker. I think she will be an excellent watch dog when she gets older. She is very alert.
Amy - how old IS Daisy, now?

Not much goes on around here as we are a small subdivision with only 44 homes (one way in-one way out) and several years ago we had 6 LEOs living in here. Kinda makes ya feel a little safer.
