Perfect graphic for the lovely poem!

"They'll have the happiest marriage, he's destined to agree,
Because she'll clearly make her stand,
before he bends his knee."

(I doubt he'll remember her words, once the ring goes on, tho)

Mornin' Amy!

I have soooo been enjoying this weather. I had to actually close windows last night. Unfortunately, they are forecasting back into the high 90s for the week! *sigh*

Have a great Monday!

Stunning!

I've been racking my brain all morning as that photo looked very familiar and just remembered. My grandmother had a picture in an oval frame of a woman who could be the twin of the one in this graphic. It was her older sister.

She passed at a young age so I never met her but I remember how lovely the photo was.

Fitting poem as well!

"I had to actually close windows last night."

You don't know how lucky you are to be able to sleep with open windows! All my life, I have enjoyed the fresh air - all year long.

But, about eight or nine months ago, (or longer - I don't remember), I was sleeping with my windows open, and heard a very loud whistle - right outside the window.

I thought to myself..."That can't be a bird at 3 am.!" And, then I heard another whistle coming from a distance!

I flew out of bed and turned on the flood lights, and heard nothing more. I called the police the next morning.

The dispacher told me to NEVER leave my windows open all night - ever again! She told me that that whistle was a call - much like the coyotes make. The answer was the partner of the whistler, returning the 'call'.

She said, they were like the coyotes - and I was the rabbit!

Shortly after that incident, my flood lights (that were within reach) were 'somehow' unscrewed. So, I ordered motion detected flood lights, and had them installed under the eaves of my roof, where no one can reach them - ever again!

And, I can never 'rest' again, with my windows open!

That is so scary, Yorkie. I have motion detector lights but only open windows that open into the fenced yard. Max is large enough to scare people and Daisy is the barker. I think she will be an excellent watch dog when she gets older. She is very alert.

It's really sad to think we can't even be/feel safe in our own home. All windows but the living room are behind a 6' fence. The gate is locked so they'd have to climb over but I suppose if they wanted in they would. But, they'd play hell getting the sunscreens off the windows...they'd be cussing so loud the whole neighborhood would hear them...lol.

Not much goes on around here as we are a small subdivision with only 44 homes (one way in-one way out) and several years ago we had 6 LEOs living in here. Kinda makes ya feel a little safer.
