A wilderness and ecology guide believes Bigfoots by the dozen could be roaming the wilderness of southern Alberta and parts of British Columbia.
Todd Standing says he has photographic proof that such creatures exist after snapping a photo of something in the Banff area with human-like features on its hairy face.

There are documented cases of feral children,, including one young girl who was captured - but then escaped!
She was seen a few years later, but never captured again.
And most of these cases are in Europe - France and such - areas that are a whole lot more civilized and logged and open than the American west.
I know someone who had an incedent and won’t talk about it. He said he knows what he experienced and leaves it at that.
The absence of proof is not proof of absence. I came across that 13th century(?) quote in a recent article.
Me, much the same. I get tired of folks telling me to quit believing my own lying eyes (and ears).
My skepticism is not about the existence of Sasquatch. Living all my life in Washington and hearing BF encounters first hand from very respectable people, I give it a very good chance of actually being real. I have had my own encounter with something while camping in a remote area near the now famous Skookum Meadow in Skamania County, when we were woken early in the morning by very loud vocalizations.
What I am skeptical about is Todd Standing. He has tried to pass off poorly hoaxed stuff before. He is just improving on what he has done before. In the world of Big Foot research once a hoaxer always a hoaxer. His films and photos, even these latest are not being taken seriously on the Bigfoot research web pages.
The first camera made for the general public wasn't available until 1888. And what do you consider a "credible observer".
It is odd that you feel that way, especially since the Injuns ALL admit to Sasquatch, dating far before the establishment of the US. I know these folks first hand (Salish (Kootenai), Flatheads, Blackfeet, and a few N.Cheyenne). Why are these natives' observations discounted?
And I can personally attest to the bare fact that my own eyes have witnessed more than 'imagination'.

Consequently, I cannot see any reason to blindly discount the views of natives.
That guy also claims there was an Apollo 18 — there wasn’t, the last Apollo was 17, the last Saturn V launch was for Skylab — but the booster could be heard for hundreds of miles. Not much secrecy about that. No credibility at all.
Interesting. Sounds like a story I’ve heard too. In Sunday School. (Although the Sunday School version doesn’t focus on the giants - but they are talked about pre-flood, but not later).
I live in WA and also have heard stories from respectable people. I recall one time a game warden friend had to back out on a job he was going to help us with. He was going down with another guy from the state and a Univ. of Washington scientist of some sort to SW Washington.
Seems a farmer saw a Bigfoot climb over a fence and it left some hair.
All he said about it was “Oh, we just do it to keep the farmer happy.” (3 guys, 3-4 hour drive, lab samples, etc. - just to “keep some farmer happy”??)
I recall back before Y2K they were refitting one of the old missle silos outside of Kenmore for a government communications site. (It was in the paper). I mentioned it to him (he lived in Kenmore) and he said “Oh? Uh, never neard of it.” (But he could tell you about every little back road and trail everywhere else in three counties!)
big FOOT, FOOT!
I heard that - But then you said the Sasquatch is imagined. I simply related the fact that American Indians (natives like those you find credence in in Africa and elsewhere) wholeheartedly believe the Sasquatch is real. If you willingly take the recommendation of other natives, but Sasquatch is 'imagination', it seems to me that you must be discounting the long and storied history of the Native Americans wrt Bigfoot. That is what I meant to point out.
We all know that. It wears $1000 Guchi sneakers while ‘gardening’
A general rule of thumb is if the natives tell you not to walk down that trail, or eat that fruit, or swim that river ...believe them. There might be a really good reason why. Eg bleeding from your eyes, ears, nose, anus ...plus interesting colored urine (black is a 'unique' color I'd say!). Basically a hit of Ebola in snake form. :)
That’s very much along the lines of the comment above about why aren’t these things in zoos.
Zoos as we know them are pretty recent phenomena.
And up until a hundred years or so ago, the kind of fellow who traveled in the west was the kind of guy who would shoot first and ask questions later.
You have never seen a Cougar?? I see them at the gym all of the time. :)
Not a single picture of that Thomas woman [yet].
Nope. I'm an old, literate redneck. I've spoken and read English all my life.
They used to teach it in the public schools.
My wife and I were in Banff last week. I thought I saw something that looked like Bigfoot. On closer inspection it was in fact just another tourist from our hotel who hadn’t shaved for a week. His feet were quite large however.
DISBELIEVER!!! How dare you bring facts and logic into a discussion about a creature that no one has ever seen and whose remains have never been found? It’s like you’re demanding uh er... evidence or something. Yeah, that’s it. Evidence...phooey!
While going over the highway from Banff into B.C. the wife and I saw four grizzlies perambulating alongside the road. We’d never seen bears before in the wild. Bigfoot was not present.
Bigfoot might not be an animal but a form of human—as such they night be smarter than we are and as such hide from us, bury their dead and perhaps use the ESP they have to render themselves invisible! They only are sighted when they are sick or make mistakes. We might be their form of entertainment —they watch us for fun. As totally psychic animals they know when we are looking for them before we even start—having ESP they are ideal hunters and do not need the so called advances of civilization. Far fetched? Yes, but possible.
There was a dead rabbit on our driveway. In two days, there was nothing left but bones. The third day, there was no trace left to show that the animal had ever been there — even the blood stain on the concrete was gone.
I wish I had time-lapse/motion detection video recording capability, for I would love to have seen all the creatures and insects that dined on the bunny.
Here is my take. Think about your own circle of friends and acquaintances, how many of those are pranksters? 2-3 out of 100? Of those 2-3 how many would actually file a official report or an agency? My bet is only 1 out of 2000. Of those how many would back down if confronted? Probably 95% .... Now think about the odds of thousands of people writing out official reports of first hand encounters? Now if you are really wondering if there are reports out there click on a state and start reading. Think about how much time and energy it would take to make all this up and what would be the pay off. http://www.bfro.net/GDB/
I;m a computer systems engineer and as such, often do detailed technical explanashuns of things.
But I can be as lazy and sloppy as the next guy!! It’s my right!!
The Paterson film from 1967 has been investigated six ways to Sunday and has not been debunked. A Bigfoot series on TV has shown a police dashcam vid of one crossing a road, and another video of one partly visible in a wooded area. These have been scientifically analyzed and do not appear to be hoaxes due to factors like movement, stride length, etc. that a human could not match.
And they may very well bury their dead, or at least conceal them somewhere.
If I see one I'll try to overcome my wonderment and pull the trigger, then call 911 and wait to be arrested. < /sarc >
Track them now:
One possibility to consider is that Bigfoot is alien. Somebody must be flying all those UFOs that are sighted. This would explain also the lack of any corpses or bones; the Bigfoot dead are transported back to Kashyyyk for burial.
That’s interesting. I’m not a naysayer on Bigfoot. But there are ‘bigfoots’ across the world. South America, South Pacific, Europe, and others have all ‘documented evidence’ of their existence. It’s a fun diversion. Are there bigfoots out there? I’m intrigued.
Here in Southeast WI, there are no black bears, so they tell us, but every year black bears are captured in these areas. Yet, don’t worry, there are no bears. What?
There is a suppressed omission of evidence. Bigfoot is similar to the UFO’s.
Close your eyes, nothing to see here.
That includes your spelling. I’m an engineer, and am embarrassed by your post. Invest in grammar, it will enhance your career 1000%. If you look like a moron, you’ll be paid like a moron. You’re post points out our troubles.
You don’t even realize it.
I’m a post?
Thank you ever so much for pointing that out. You sound like a man who knows what he’s mumbling about!
LOL! I realized it immediately after I hit the post button. I’ll bet you’re a fabulous post! I was hoping you were the typical newbie who can’t grasp grammar :) The born on date really makes a difference. Sorry about my typo, I do know the difference between There, their, and they’re. It’s not unlike the to, too, and two. I’m old school.
I’ve done it myself.
Just chalk it up to an off day and go forward...
Yep, a typo will be pounced upon. That’s the ‘fun factor’ of FR. But, onward we march to rid the world of liberals. Living in WI these past months has been harrowing. Keep pushing forward.
I could have expanded upon your “explanashuns”. Ditto the brain farts...
I did misspell it!
Left out the “y”.
It’s supposed to be “explanayshuns”.
I was in a hurry when I typed it...
Im not a 100% believer in Bigfoot, but I still give its existence a very good chance. There are too many credible witnesses to totally discount it, and I have heard some of them recount their stories first hand. But regardless, I do take advantage of living in the Northwest and do go searching for myself a few times a year with a few friends and with my now 9-year old son. In fact we are going out this weekend. We have had some interesting experiences on a couple of these outings, the most notable was while camping near the remote Skookum Meadow with two friends we were all woken up at 2:30 AM by some very odd vocalizations, loud enough to wake us all up. It was not the screams and howls, you often hear on tape, but more of a vocalization or primitive language. Its hard to explain it. But it was too loud and deep for a human. We have also heard screams and howls on other nights but far far away.
Bigfoot or no Bigfoot, the wives do appreciate us getting out of the house, on our guys weekend out, and they know were staying out of trouble. And its always been a fun experience, even when we have no encounter.
I guess it’s all about content. I can misuse a word, look where it leads. The bottom line is, get rid of obama, that’s our goal.
It’s been fun trading spares, in the long run, we’re on the same page, freedom.
Can you believe we’ve been here over 10 years? We’ve been fighting this battle, we’ll keep fighting this battle.
Thank God people have joined our fight.
We’re not the lone terrorists out there.
I appreciate you men getting away from the women! My daughter and her family just moved to Yelm, WA, so I have to rib you. VBG. She’s in the HAHAHA camp, but she’s a newbie.
I totally get where you are. I encourage your pursuit. I’m in the it’s out there/not out there camp. I don’t think you’re a kook.
Keep up the good work, perhaps one day you’ll be a rock star, or not.
