Oscar-winning actor Cliff Robertson dies at 88

Cliff Robertson, who starred as John F. Kennedy in a 1963 World War II drama and later won an Academy Award for his portrayal of a mentally disabled bakery janitor in the movie "Charly," died Saturday, one day after his 88th birthday.

He probably hooked up with the Dems after playing JFK. And, it was a very different Democrat party then.

I especially loved Charly and his WW II movies. He was one of my favorite actors. RIP Mr. Robertson.

He played the Lemmon role 5 years earlier on TV, prior to it being made into a film. I never heard he was offered the movie role.
