Will Obama Run...
9-17-11 | Awgie

Posted on 09/17/2011 7:07:40 AM PDT by Awgie

Simple question...Will Obama run?

As the economy worsens, scandles mount, poles decline...will Obama stay the course and go down with the ship?

Or will he give way to a new democrat nominee either through a primary challenge or resignation?

The democrats do not play the rules. They will do anything to hold power. The dynamics of the situation are not in their favor. It is important to anticipate all possible scenerios.

LBJ left office, and the democrats ended up with the 1968 convention. I don’t think that would be fun to watch again, or maybe it would.

As disgruntled as his party is right now, you’ll see a lot of pressure for him to step aside. There are already calls for Hillary to run. You’re right, the DNC does not want to lose power, but I’ll guess he will be stuborn and run anyway. I certainly hope he runs.

Would tend to agree, of course. However, there is the mitigating factor of the dossier the Left has on him...

Random thoughts:

*If he quits, does he get to keep his campaign fund?

*Legacy: If he quits now, his presidency will be seen as a colossal failure (think Carter times ten)

*Will Soros let him run?

Exactly.

Narcissists are incapable of consciously limiting their dysfunctional ego.

He will have to inflict his 0bama Train Wreck on America to the bitter end of his failed and ONLY four year term.

True American Leaders would make the decision to put the “Country First”, but in his case that’s never ever a consideration.

NY Times' "Freudian Slip": "It is time for Mr. Obama to think about what Lyndon Johnson would do..."

Whatever happens, it won't be his decision. If the Liberal Socialist Machine decides Hillary has a better chance, Zer0 will quickly be the one under the bus.

He will run.
He will not do a LBJ.
He will be Carter II.
Any primary challenger will be destroyed, politically, personally and financially.
He is a Marxist ideologue, schooled in the Alinsky mold.
He will destroy what he considers ‘his’ rather than see it taken from him...............

BTW, I was in DC yesterday taking friends from Nicaragua on a walking tour and "O" passed within 15' of me in his "Beast". The effect was tangible. When I told a good friend, he said, "Go immediately to Southern States (farm supply store) and get DC anti-liberal removal spray and dip. Have wife spray you down at once. Repeat every 2 days."

Some time ago Obama said one of things he liked the most about being President was the fact there were “men with guns following his daughter’s around”. . .These people do not give a darn about the United States of America, they simply like all the amenities that come with the job. Michelle would be hard pressed to give up all of her servants. Obama isn’t finished trying to destroy the country. It would show good leadership if the DNC dumped this fraud, but they are also too attached to power to do the right thing.

Is there anyone on the planet who doesn't think Hillary and Obozo made a deal in 2008 whereby she'd get the SoS job in return for dropping out of the race? In return, she gets 4 years worth of international experience...her most glaring shortcoming...for her next bid in 2012. No, I think even the most ardent lib realizes that Obozo has sunk his own ship. When people say you're worse than Jimmy Carter, you have real problems.

The Democrats have a dilemma. If Obama runs, they will probably lose the office. If he doesn’t run, the Democrats will have admitted he is a failure, insulted their black base and their white replacement candidate will also lose.

“It is important to anticipate all possible scenerios.”

Besides his string of failures and scandals, there is also the likelihood that Obamacare, his signature “healthcare” legislation, will be struck down by the USSC. Politically, this would be a big blow to any sitting president. And, the massive amount of money that the government has spent to implement that failed legislation would have been totally wasted. That isn’t going to sit well with the American people in these austere times.

If you are going to start a vanity, why not at least take the time to spell simple words correctly? "Scandles"? "Poles"?

As to the topic, of course Hussein is running. He will run for re-election and he will be very difficult to beat. Obama will get no less than 45% of the vote, and if we do not run a very good campaign he could very well win a second term.

This idea that Obama is down and out and may not even run again is just nonsense. Looking at Intrade this morning, Hussein has a 49.9% chance to win re-election according to those who are actually willing to put their money where their mouth is.

Obama will run, that is, if he has not been thrown out of office by scandal & corruption. His hards are dirty and that fact is just now surfacing. We shall have to see how this works out!!! Actually, factually all Obama has in his corner right now is Black Americans and only some in the labor union movement!!! The rank and file blue collar labor union folks in general do not like Obama, witnessed by the very low turnout of blue collar union workers in both NY-9 & NV-2 CDs. Obama also has major trouble brewing in the Black American ranks, one, for producing no jobs, opportunities, attention to Blacks, and....two, the wanton slaughter of innocent African Black Christians by Obama’s soul brothers in the Muslim Brotherhood (Egypt, Innocent Jews) & Libya, Innocent African Black Christians). The sooner Black Americans realize Obama is no friend or ally to American Blacks, they better off they will be.

Rush was pondering this subject and made the following conjecture...Obama will have his ego inflated and face saved by being told he is simply too big for the job of POTUS. Too much petty bickering and infighting as POTUS to truly exercise his genius. He will then be offered some glamorous no show job heading up some do-nothing leftists organization. In the name of humanity he will sacrifice his presidency and step aside so he can more effectively cure the world as head of...you name it.

Nobody could talk Jimmy Carter into stepping aside, could they? And in 1980, there were a LOT of much better potential candidates for the Democrat Presidential nomination.

None of whom could push past the very hard-core, doctrinaire leftist agenda they had even back then.

So we shall just have to do it the hard way. Win, and win by such overwhelming numbers, there will be no question of “recounts” or “stolen elections”.

Start hammering Solyndra and other phony “green jobs” financing for the frauds they are. The US cannot compete with China for government-supplied venture capital. If private venture capital cannot be convinced to put up the money, without government guaranties, then it probably is not worth backing.

The liberal ideological edifice has always been a house of cards, propped up only by the dominant media’s ability to purvey the lies required to sustain its integrity.

Liberal policies having been put into practice by this administration, the people now realize they’ve been sold a bill of goods. Who to blame? I think the people are beginning to blame the media, and this is a very good thing for conservatism.

If Obama doesn’t run, then the media gets another chance, and may well survive.

If Obama runs, and they carry his water, the mainstream media will be banished to irrelevance by the people.

Then the whole house comes tumbling down.

I hope he runs.

“He will run for re-election and he will be very difficult to beat.”

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. Since World War II, no president has ever won re-election with unemployment above 6% (excepting Ronald Reagan) and no president since FDR has won with a rate higher than 7.2%. A 9% plus unemployment rate is a very high hurdle to overcome. People are starving for jobs. If we go into another recession, it could rise to 10% by election day.

The decision may not be his. It may be the Dem leadership.

They can pressure him to not run [shades of LBJ].

Obama has already said he would be content being a one-termer.

Dems already lost the House and most likely will lose the Senate. Obama’s around 40% approval is not a winner, and they know it.

Of course, they won't just dump him. They will create a scenario where he decides not to run or feigns illness or has family concerns or some such.

I figure they are already working behind the scenes to find a more viable candidate.

The 9% unemployment is expected to last through next November. There is no indication that anything the Admin can/will do will cause a drastic improvement in the economy. Even former loyalists seem to be turning away from The-One-Who-Wasn't.

One scenario I saw on FR a few days ago would be to have Biden step down and HClinton replace him. Then, sometime late next year, have Obama step down and VP Clinton in position to run — as the incumbent.

I don't see how Obama can/will run with the economic/joblessness in their current states. That would almost be an inevitable massive defeat.

Either he will not run or they’ll set up a ‘stalking goat’ contender for nomination that they’ll use as a foil to pump Obama up for the general election. If he does run, expect a weirdly timed 3rd party candidate with hybrid ideas that either usurp or coincide with the GOP nominee to shave 3-5% perhaps from the GOP.

Facing a total revolt in his party, narcissist or no, He’ll have to step aside because there will come a point withdrawing will be the better alternative to running and losing. I suspect many middle of the ground Democrats in Congress will strongly consider switching parties should Obama decide to run.

If you see or here any conservatives talk about Obama declaring an emergency and cancelling the elections ‘for the good of the country’ ... run away from them fast. They are nut jobs and likely provocateurs. At the least they are misguided party distractions.

Especially if he thinks that position will allow him to continue his quest of dismantling America. He may have maxed out on what he can do in his current given the likelihood of Republicans taking control of both houses of Congress in 2012.
