Snake Killing (vanity - sorry)

So I just killed a Copperhead Snake in my front yard. I'm still shaking and it's still writhing. Thing is there were two, one in line behind the other. When I came back with the shovel, the "first" one in line had "disappeared". Where do you think it went and what do I do about it? (Please keep it relatively clean) I HATE snakes!

Interesting about the coffee grounds, I’ve thrown about a million dollars worth of Starbucks grounds outback since the previous century , no snakes ever , not one.

I killed a coral snake and dumped its body on a nearby fireant mound. By morning all that was left was the backbone. I am now scared to death of my fireants.
I'll take copperheads over coral snakes any day!

Copperhead bites aren’t fatal.... KMA, they’ll make you wish you were dead. If you are already sick ( cancer, diabetes, turd in the aorta) etc. It will kill you.

Coral Snakes do have short fangs and they need to inject 75 to 100 mg of venom in you. They do tend to hold on and, as you say, chew. their bite is life-threatening though. And - surprise - the anitvenom is no longer manufactured in these United States. If you are one of the 15 to 25 victims each year, I guess you are SOL.
