Listening to “Champions” being played every time a major sports team won a championship got SO tiresome. A little off topic, but if you want to talk songs at sporting events that got you fired up, it was Europe’s “The Final Countdown”.

If I stand up in a crowded room and sing “Who let the dogs out? the entire room will sing whoo whoo.

I think The Automobiles had the catchiest pop songs of all. “My Best Friend’s Girl,” “Shake It Up”, “Magic”, “Drive”, and “It’s All I Can Do” just to name a few. One of the best pop bands ever even though they were tagged as “New Wave” at the time. They released most of their albums during the 1978-1987 period but they just had a brand new album out over the summer which is called “Move Like This.”
