“Human rightser” organizations like Amnesty International are engaging in a paroxysm of rage and false moralism, now that the “gay pride” parade in Belgrade has been cancelled due to the activism of Orthodox Serbian patriots!!!!

On Sunday, during a New Yorker Festival event that reunited him with the show’s cast, Hurwitz promised the audience that a film adaptation of the Bluth clan was still in the works — and there’s even a set of nine or 10 television episodes, each focusing on a certain character, that would serve as a curtain raiser to the movie.

Blanching is incomplete cooking in boiling water or in hot oil. For example, prior to freezing vegetables like green beans they are often blanched for 2-3 minutes by immersing them in boiling water, then quickly cooled and frozen. Upon thawing less time is required to cook them completely.

The same can be done for foods that are typically deep fried like fried potatoes, or breaded fish patties.

I’ve never heard of the Nashville Predators. Perhaps I’ll start paying attention. There are lots of things to learn on WFTD.

I was cheering for those union loving socialists from Wisconsin

Woooooooo. Waitaminute! I don't consider our sports teams as being union loving socialists; although all participate in unions, except at the collegiate level. After all, a lot of those payers (especially the Packers) supported W when he was in office. Especially after Kerry came to Green Bay and waxed on about "Lambert" Field.

I have years of practical experience but no formal training. I’ve had exactly 2 cooking lessons in my life - One with Emeril in NO and one in Paris. I cook down home food with a Southern/Cajun/Tex-Mex flair. That’s it. I understand the science and the tools better than most.

Most people under the age of 30 have no idea what goes on in the kitchen. They use the microwave, toaster and the coffee maker and that’s all. They have no desire to learn to really cook for themselves and have never had to do it.

Their grannies and mothers didn’t teach them and they probably never had a Black maid who could cook like Minnie in “The Help.” That’s how I learned.

I don’t just mean cooking. I think you have a natural talent for teaching. You could have done well in academic medicine because you have REAL experience. When I was concerned about my dad’s acute renal failure last month, you broke it down so I could understand, as well as the hospitalist, but with more detail. You don’t just soak up information when you are interested in a topic, you are able to explain it to others, be it cooking, ammo, or medicine. Just sayin’...

I beg your pardon? We're not just 7-1 in the preseason and have been to the play-offs six out of the last seven years, but we are third in the league in scoring right now.
