Hank Williams Jr. compares Obama to Hitler
Fox and Friends

Posted on 10/03/2011 5:20:21 AM PDT by 3boysdad

Did anybody else see Hank Jr. compare Obama to Hitler (or something like that) on Fox and Friends this Morning? I can't find any footage or stories on it - probablly still too early. I didn't see it as I was in the other room and overheard it. Gretchin Carlson appologized for his statement after the interview and said that Fox did not endorse it. It cracked me up. I'd really love a Youtube clip if anyone can find one.

With Lopez, not only were there no disclaimers, but they just fell all over themselves laughing at his “jokes.” And praising his canceled show. Sheesh.

He did not compare Obama to Hitler. He used a metaphor to show the disparity in viewpoint between dems and conservatives. There is as much difference between dems and conservatives as there is between Netanyahu and Hitler.

We do ourselves no favors by pressing figures of speech beyond what they were intended. IMHO

It’s been a long time since I’ve watched Fox & Friends. I just can’t stomach it anymore - I hate the silliness - seems like every time I tune it in (to give it another chance), there are either cheerleaders, penguins, tricycles or something else silly.

I really just want to hear the unvarnished news first thing in the day - not entertainment. In fact, I have a hard time watching anything on Fox anymore - they are not the Tea Party’s friend & they are so in the tank for Romney that it is pathetic.

These kinds of comparisons are wrong regardless of which side is doing it. I’ve been to Dachau and know what Hitler did to the Jews. Obama is the worst President in my lifetime, but his transgressions don’t warrant comparisons like this. This kink of stuff doesn’t help the conservative movement. Just my 2 cents.

I’m glad he said what he did - have you EVER seen a liberal ‘hold back’? Liberals will call for elections to be suspended - and we can’t make this kind of comparison? Gimme a break.

Obama is going to try (you can tell that by his moves of late to foment a race/class war)...but it will by no means be bloodless. The “red” areas of the country are armed and will rise up.

Guess we’ve heard the last of him doing the intro to Monday Night Football.

On their afternoon show The Five, they let Bob Beckel sit there and say all kinds of awful things with no disclaimers.

I think the deal is that it is okay to say bad things about republicans, but we have to disclaim everything a person on the right says, otherwise we will be harassed.

I thought so too. Maybe he was boozed a little.

I guarantee you by the end of the day the NFL will have fired him, and rightly so. What a stupid thing to say. Good for Gretchen (who’s hot) for disowning his comments, I saw the whole thing this morning.

Trace Adkins is a conservative and a huge supporter of our military as well. Lee Ann Womack, Sara Evans, and Naomi Judd are also Republicans, to my knowledge.

I saw it live, and my thoughts were three-fold:

1. Hank was right on target.
2. The Fox crew was entirely unprofessional. For most of the interview, they were totally at a loss as to what to say. And, the Gretchen apology was inappropriate: you don’t invite a guest into your living room, then denounce him for stating his own opinion.
3. The Libs will get tossed off of Monday Night Football for speaking the truth.

As to Hank being distracted, he clearly was. But, he still gave a captivating interview.

It made me laugh, but the left will have his Monday Night gig canceled.

Before you know it Lady Gaga will be singing the MNF song.

You are probably right about Lady Gaga singing the theme. I’m still wondering why SNF has Faith Hill singing its theme song. Pretty lady and no doubt talented. But, what exactly is her connection to the male-dominated world of smash-mouth football?
