Thoughts On Inspirational Music For The Fight We Have Ahead (vanity)

As a musician, I find music touches the soul like nothing else. We are in great turmoil in this great nation and we have a long fight on our hands as people begin to waken and arise. Post your favorite music that seeks to inspire the great fight we have ahead of us.

My child LOVES to play "Secret Weapons Over Normandy" ( on the old DS). I absolutely LOVE the musical score and found it the other day. It's almost a 'John Williamish' piece which is heavy on the horns and strings (as most of his stuff is).

Here it is:

Depends on what kind of fight your talking about? If, for example, it becomes necessary to do battle with these vermin stinking up Zuccotti Park or any number of other local playgrounds in cities across the country, I’d opt for good old fashion hard rock to fire up the troops. AC/DC’s Back in Black would be a good place to start.

Okie dokie, fighting songs then for when we get to play counter-revolutionary and stomp lefties into the dirt:

Lets start with AC/DC: Back in Black, If You Want Blood You've Got It, Thunderstruck. Then some Judas Priest: You've Got Another Thing Coming, Riding On The Wind, Defenders Of The Faith, Living After Midnight, Breaking The Law. Add some Iron Maiden: The Number of The Beast, Killers, Murder In The Rue Morgue. Now throw in a few bottles of Jack Daniels to fire every one up, and I'd say we're set to clear out whatever public parks the unwashed hippies wish to occupy!

I think this should be played the night before the General Election....

(So you know, it's the finale of "Les Miserables" from the 10th Anniversary concert. Listen to the lyrics:

Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Somewhere beyond the barracade
Is there a world you long to see?

Do you hear the people sing?
Say do you hear the distant drums?
It is the future that they bring
When tomorrow comes!
)

This is the full version. It must be played loud. This is all I need to go to war. And a tank. This song and a tank. And some hand grenades. This song, a tank and some hand grenades is all I need.

Whatever is coming down the tracks, wont be easy to deal with. Perhaps a song that relates to the past few years is in order.

That reminds me of this scene from Kelly's Heroes.

And this, too:

end titles

I'd rush into battle screaming "Down with Soros! Washington, we are here! Rally on the Virginians!" and so forth, even though I'm a middle-aged lady with asthma.
