Newt is being frank. I have to ask myself though, will he remain the same guy if he gets the nomination? He is an approval hound don’tchaknow.
Please don't tell me that. I swore I looked at all the channels and found nothing. Glad to hear it was a Cain Newt night. They would make a great team. What one lacks the other makes up fully.
And I would pay money to see Newt go against Biden in the VP debate.

Just sent him money. I hope he stays in. Perry is imploding, Romney is unacceptable, and Santorum, Bachmann, Huntsman, and Paul are not gaining traction. Cain is acceptable, but a little gimmicky.
I’m having trouble seeing Newt’s baggage. Says much with few words is right.
He is an idea man who needs a good closer to work with him.
The media is all over Romney and this debate was just too painful to watch. I loathe Charlie Rose. The questions were just snarky. Sure they will come and sure the candidate will have to put up with them and answer some but the questioners were plain rude and I hated them more with each passing minute.
Getting tired of those that say he can't win, he would make mincemeat out of Zero in any debate.
His baggage: Well, look at all we have had to live with since Slick Willie. Newt did wrong in his personnel life, but Forgive and move on, because he is the smartest of the smart. He can WIN. The Pelosi thingy, I'll bet he learned his lesson by now.
The thing is, NEWT knows how to get things done, and knows who the culprits are and how to take them out. He is a patriot and will take care of America first.
I am in for NEWT, and PRAY he does not disappoint me. If he picks a good VP, we would be in for 16 yrs. Time enough, hopefully, to get things on the right track again.

It was on "Bloomberg TV" which isn't as widely available as CNN, FoxNews or MSNBC.
"Professional Republicans" have ruined this country. I don't take much stock in 'professional Republicans.'
Mitt Romney did everything that he had to do to advance his nomination tonight. He was good on the issues. He cited facts and figures without appearing to be just a policy wonk. He reminded people that he is a leader. He has some haters, but they are fewer and fewer and have no place to go.
Newt Gingrich is great in debates. We all know that he can't win the nomination because he's always been weak as an executive. He's not even strong running his own campaign except when he's debating. He gave another great performance, but few people have forgotten his weakness.
Herman Cain is staking too much on 9-9-9. That plan will never get through the Senate. Even if we had 60 Republicans, a few of them would side with the Democrats to filibuster that kind of change. He's a good man, but he needs to show that he's more than just a one-dimensional candidate. He answered attacks on 9-9-9 well, but people aren't going to remember that they have more money when they are paying federal sales tax on food and medicine.
Michele Bachmann looked good. The 6-6-6 joke didn't work, but the point she made was good. Otherwise, she was solid in every part of the debate.
Rick Santorum knows the issues well, and he has some good things to say. His big problem comes when he appears to be too much of a religious authoritarian. His rant about the family wasn't necessarily bad, but he seemed a bit too desperate to make that point. He, Ron Paul, and Jon Huntsman all showed themselves unable to ask a coherent question. That failure hurt his performance.
Ron Paul doesn't do that badly when he's not on foreign policy, but his meandering question gives him a bad grade.
Rick Perry's whole debate seemed to be "ah, um, uh, Texas." He had one question where he was clear and coherent. He's simply not doing what he must do in these debates.
Jon Huntsman was incoherent on nearly everything. The only value to having him in the debates is that he reminds us how good our other candidates are and gives us a one-minute period to go to the refrigerator.

A. The Constitution doesn’t say that they cannot be from the same state. However, the 12th Amendment does say that electors may not vote for a President from their state and a Vice President also from their state. This issue came up in the 2000 presidential campaign when Texas Governor George W. Bush chose fellow Texas resident Richard Cheney to be his running mate. Cheney, who had served in Congress as a Representative from Wyoming, quickly changed his legal residence back to Wyoming to avoid the possible conflict for electors from Texas. Court challenges to Cheney’s change of residency were denied.
It is unlikely that two people from the same state would ever be nominated by a major political party. It is constitutionally possible however. If it ever came to pass, the party that won the ticket’s state would likely suggest to the electors that their votes for the President go to the presidential nominee and that the votes for the Vice President be given in honor of a party official. Electors in all other states, as mentioned above, would be free to vote for both of the party’s nominees.

Yeah, Bachmann has jumped the shark during the past few weeks. First there was the whole vaccine thing, where she DID make some valid criticisms, but she eventually hurt herself arguing about it more than she hurt Perry.
Tonight’s ‘999 upside down’ comment is just the final nail in the coffin for me. She might have been trying to do a clever joke with it, but it went over like a lead balloon. She’s done, IMO.

If Herman Cain did well, good. So far he's best IMHO. Perry was a big disappointment, despite Texans here warning us about problems he had.
I wish Newt's mind was in the character of someone else. Many have said, and I agree: Gingrich is OUR Clinton. And don't forget, he wanders intellectually. Over to a couch with Nancy Pelosi!
Romney has been running for six years now. Too slick and polished. They even have him quoted as saying 'he can work with democrats.' Talk about McCainsian? Huntsman? When will they rule him outside the realm of possibly carrying a zip code, let alone a state? The guy is using up his dad's money, while Mumsy and Papa are on some antarctic cruise with bad radio reception. Drop him off on Gilligan's Island.
Isn’t Perry getting a “C” an absolutely smashing victory for him? Or are we grading on the curve?
