Tonight Newt Gingrich spoke at the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition and then answered a few questions from a panel. I’ve split the Speech from the Q&A and both are below.

Very informative videos from Newt; I learned a few things from them I didn’t know before.

Has anyone organized a Newt ping list?

A couple years ago I watched a vid of Newt lecturing law students somewhere in GA. His topic: The Supreme Court is Not the Supreme Branch of Government.

For two hours without a pause he covered history, politics around our colonial and founding era, and left me encouraged that we can take back a government currently dominated by unelected god-judges and bureaucrats.

“I learned a few things from them I didn’t know before.”

I’ve noticed this happening often lately. My husband and I are very impressed with what he is saying. We were upset with him a few times in the past, but we understand that people CAN learn best from mistakes. I want to hear more from him.

I also saw a Newt speech from 2009 really taking it to the Obama administration. The man is great and can really get his point across in a manner that everyone can understand. Well maybe those liberals without a brain would be excluded. I am really giving Newt a hard look for President. The man is truly a Patriot and knows the history of this country.

I still think Newt would make a great VP for Cain.

“The Supreme Court is Not the Supreme Branch of Government.”

Yeah, he hits on that topic in the Q&A video as well. It definitely enlightened me.

I hope people take a 2nd look at him, instead of writing him off.

No can do. They're both from the same awesome state of Georgia.

It’s really down to two candidates I am now willing to consider - Newt and Cain. Newt is making amends for his past with his stand-up performances as of late. I am more willing now to overlook his Pelosi loveseat stupidity.

Sorry Newt, you have some great ideas, but you lost me with your ethanol BS. I have listened to you for years and we don’t want more sophisticated and efficent government. We want less f’n government. You have served your country well, but it’s time to move on.

IIRC, he said Jefferson got Congress to eliminate a dozen or so lower courts. Imagine that.

Among our national tribulations is the pestilence of Marxist judges. It would be grand if, in 2013, Congress dis-established most of the lower and appellate federal court system and started over.

Let's give the moonbats something to howl about.

Ditto here. It’s Cain or Newt for me. Ideally, both would end up on the same ticket—how often does it happen though that running mates get chosen from former primary contenders? Just curious, if anyone knows.

I very much liked his comments regarding shrinking government while, at the same time, growing citizenship. Excellent!

This is desperately needed in this nation.
