Let me just say that I don't give a damn about Lindsey Lohan. I wasn't looking for news about her.

I just have to ask- WTF? 5 hours in jail after being sentenced to 30 days? That's less than 1% of her sentence! (5 hours out of 720(30 days) is 0.00694) Is that normal in Los Angeles? Honestly, why should she care about the law? It's apparently meaningless when she is involved.

In my work outside of this country, people used to comment on the fact that the USA actually followed its laws and THAT was one of the major factors that distinguished us from other nations.

I know 2 guys that had small sentences delayed so they could complete obligations, one personal the other professional. It’s not actually uncommon. Everybody in the system knows 30 day sentences are a joke.
