No way, no how. The guy is sharp with populist politics leaning right; but the long haul he is just not dependable.

I like him...as VP to Cain only.

Will perry or newt telephone Sarah? Will Sarah enter on her own? Who will Sarah return the phone call to, Perry or Newt?

I’ll support him as the nominee but will still vote Cain in the primary.

If he gets nominated I will hope his bout with brain damage that sent him to Pelosi’s couch will have passed.

out of the known candidates, I halfheartedly support Newt.
I have to admit that if Allen West changed his mind or Sarah Palin changed hers, I’d wholeheartedly be in support.

After kicking the tires on every other car in the lot, I am sold on Newt as well.

I’ll take some flack for this, but it is MY belief, based on his writings and speeches just in the last few years that this latest wife AND HER PARENTS led Newt into an ACTUAL and GENUINE personal relationship with THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

The “starter” for this line of thinking was the book, and I think there might also have been a corresponding video, showing the multitudes of appeals to God, mentions of God, quotations of Scripture, etc., in the Founding Documents of our Nation, the Shrines and Monuments, and the Government Buildings, etc. in DC.

I agree with you 100%. Newt sounds good, but has taken some out-and-out leftist stands, particularly with respect to global warming. He’ll need to assure me this idiotic EPA assault on private industry will not continue. At the moment, I will vote for Paul and Cain, possibly Perry, before Newt.

I could live with him as Cain’s VP but it would seal the deal if I knew he was never going to run for president.

He’s simply not trustworthy unless you expect him to screw you at some point. Then you can count on it.

Nope. Newt. Talks a good game but he likes to play nice with the other side too much.

Well, let’s see.... Mitt IS the other side.
Cain is now toxic...too bad, but true.
Santorum comes off as sanctimonious!
Bachman is shallow and has no chance.
Paul is A E Newman for 2012 !
Huntsman is just plain vapid.
I’ll take Newt - he’s intelligent, articulate and can be forcefull in espousing his ideas and solutions. I suspect when we give him a R house and Senate you won’t see him “playing nice with the other side!”

agree he has shown to be the grown up and not one attacked any others.

I am surprised that someone said they would vote for the RINO flip flopping Romney before Newt, that is just WOW.

you would vote for one of the most radical left leaning presidents , Marxists,in our history even worse than Carter over Newt. No wonder we're in a mess right now, Hell I'd vote for Mickey mouse over zero and Mickey has created more jobs than zero too.

By Glenn Beck. She more than handled the stammering Perry in the debates.

I’m with you 100% except that part about Ron Paul: some days I think he’s crazy, some days I just don’t get out of bed at all...

Newt annoyed the hell out of me back when he resigned from Congress immediately after the election, thus giving his seat in a safely-GOP district to a Dimocrat, by the appointment of Georgia Governor Sonny Purdue. If he’d resigned a few weeks sooner, we could have elected a Republican!

But now he’s by far the best of a lousy bunch.

If he clearly promises not to push “limited amnesty’ and global warming bs anymore, I would probably join the Newt bandwagon.

At the moment, he is clear and present danger to country, given his perryesque amnesty push.

I’m reserving judgment on Cain. I don’t trust Newt but he’s certainly next in line.

Your response reminds me so much of my feelings for Trent Lott!

Not that I would ever vote for Lott for anything but dog catcher.

What an effing slime ball.
