The Duggars are paying their own tab.

Their kids don't go to school?

I stand by my statement that theirs is a shitty childhood.

I'm starting to think that perhaps yours was, which is why you keep going on and on about it.

Try minding your own business. I see no indication that these children are being abused in any way. Throughout human history, children have always labored. In fact, that used to be one of the primary reasons for having children, to work the land when Mom and Dad got too old.

Having children for vanity is a 20th century phenomenon.

Why are you refering to helping out around the home the way families always have “being forced to labor doing the parents job”? You make it sound as though the kids are doing all the work while the parents do nothing. There is nothing wrong with changing a diaper while mom continues with the school lessen rather than disrupt the class.
As I said earlier, you should see what all those kids get to do. You should have so much fun.

They are home schooled. What a bitter, nasty person you are.

The kids are home schooled, which makes Michelle a full time teacher in addition to a full time mom.

You’ve got to be kidding me. What else should insurance decide they don’t have to cover? How many pregnancies should they cover? Who gets to decide.

Holy smokes. I know some of them are adults, but that’s a large family. Good for them.

A friend just had her 13th.

She’s doing fine, kids are normal. No gov’t help. She is a tenacious multilevel marketer, prolific cook, and runs a non-trivial farm. He’s working hard as well. Money may be tight, yet they’re comfortable.

Can be done - and was the norm for millenia.

Well, maybe after you have 1 high risk pregnancy and baby, the insurance won’t cover more pregnancies. I think it would be up to the insurance companies to decide.

If the Duggars want to pay for it themselves, then I see no problem. My grandfather was 1 of 13 kids, and his parents did not have insurance.

Since you have obviously never watched the program you are condemning them on the basis of pure hearsay; gossip, if you will. Shame on you for making no effort to learn the truth before judging them guilty.

You aren’t a crappy parent; you sound like a very good parent to me.
My four did the same chores as they grew up!

We really enjoy their program....her age (45) concerns us more than a little; we were kind of hoping they’d quietly done a ‘snip’ during her gall bladder surgery, as long as the surgeon was in the neighborhood.

I read somewhere they receive 100K per episode, although that’s supposed to be ‘undisclosed’.

My husband would not let me get pregnant if I had the problems she had the last time. Having another kid would not be worth the risk of problems to my health.

Oh brother. Your a nut. You talk about forcing kids to do chores or watching the siblings. And you say that you aren’t a socialist. What you want is for these kids to get their food and room and board for free. Why shouldn’t they pay some of their way. You are the socialist because you want the kids to be fed and boarded for free without responsibility. See how it works? You are the big socialist!!!!!

I think that the insurance company should haves right to not cover so many pregnancies.

Oh brother. We have some liberal atheists on this thread today. You are DEFINITELY not a christian for sure and don’t give my your “Oh yes I am”. Anybody as dense to say that insurance companies should not pay for a hospital bill is insane. They pay those premiums so they are owed the cost of the pregnancy. You said yourself that you cost the hospital 400K with one kid. You are a big expense on the company. I WISH they would have told you to pack sand. See how you would have liked it. Of course you would have just went bankrupt and left it to the rest of us. No the company SHOULD pay for as many children as she wants.

Comment under the article...it's derogatory, but it's true.

If you have 20 dogs they put you on a show called hoarders, you have 20 kids and your on a show called 19 kids and counting.

I'm sure they make much of their income from the show...real estate market hasn't been that great.

I used to watch (a couple of kids ago) and they built a very large house with a lot of sweat equity. Before the show they lived in a tiny house (considering the number of kids) and I assumed the show gave them the funds to built the new house.

Well different strokes for different folks. I notice their son who is 23, has 2 of his own already.

The Duggars probably don't believe in birth control, and you know what they call folks who don't believe in birth control...parents!

Your a sick woman (I say that lightly). You believe that they should only pay for one cancer treatment? One heart attach? One broken leg? What a crackpot. No wonder you voted for Obama. You are EXACTLY like him.
