Head butting a few brick walls in my life have taught me that.
Have you considered having a personal chat with each teacher alone in a very private and unexpected place? (no witnesses, no marks)
Next stage in game Colleges are full of liberal professors where conservative students get hammered when they oppose their view.
Depending on how determined you are, file a formal complaint, get an attorney, hire a PI to investigate the suspect teachers ... or home school.
And my daughter is one conservative girl... But at least she’ll be an adult and I hope she can stand up for herself, like I had to do in college. Although I’ll admit to writing some liberal garbage in a pinch to keep my grades up.
Maybe your kid is just not working hard enough and you are too much of a helicopter Mom?
Improvise, adapt and overcome is the best way to handle life.
Anyone someone challengers the system... it is almost an always guaranteed loss. You have to understand the nature of the “Beast” and then decide if it's worth the battle. Pick and choose your battles carefully and always think of what it will cost you if you lose. If you win will it be worth all the effort?
I don't think you are paranoid and yes the teachers are punishing you. You can never prove it, but I believe you are correct.
My son was an honors student for 4 straight years. He compiled A grades and above for all 4 years of high school including AP courses and was ranked third in a class of 365 students. . What a kick in his teeth to him it was to get a B grade in Fizz Ed on the last report card of his senior year.
Get your DAUGHTER to go in and fight for that extra 0.1%.
Students who put in that effort usually succeed. Focus on objective questioning of each point.
Don’t let her just sit there and take it.
But SHE is the one who must do it, not you. You can aid and guide her, but don’t do it instead of her.
Go to the school board. They are elected, and won’t like the press.
Not once in my adult life has anyone asked me about my grades.
As long as your kids are safe, who cares about the honors?
Worry about whether or not your kid can self-motivate and adjust to adversity, and stop looking to others for validation. Teach them to do the right thing on their own, for their own self-satisfaction.
And remind yourself that no one likes working with a know-it-all, a crusader or someone with a persecution complex. It sure sounds like that’s what you’re projecting to the teachers. No wonder they’re turned off.
I'm afraid I'd be lazy and get her behind!
I am teaching them to live with integrity and search for self satisfaction.
The one in question definitely self motivates which is why it's so hard on her that this happened.
To bad if the teachers are turned off, they need to do there job despite me if I'm the issue, they're my daughters grades.
Yes, told the Principal that’s the next step.
Stay out of it. It’s ultimately meaningless. Infuriating, to be sure, but just not that important. I know I got some award at graduation, but, for the life of me, I don’t remember what it was for. Neither will she.
