My gosh... my old cencus tract has the white population declined 19%. Hispanics went up 145% and blacks went up 123%. Wow... My old census tract is Los Angeles County. Whites -8%, Blacks -10%, Hispanics +11%.
Not as exaggerated a movement as what happened to your old home town, but L.A. got hit by the illegal wave a long time ago.
