NY Woman Uses Dating Site to Get Over $1200 In Free Meals

A New York woman is being scrutinized and praised after people learned that she used a dating website to obtain $1,200 a month in free meals.

According to Business Insider, 23-year-old Jessica Sporty was deep in debt. Sporty had difficulties living on her $45,000 annual salary after spending nearly $1,500 a month in rent, paying her credit card bill, and buying food.

So she hatched up a plan and signed up with the popular online dating site Match.com so she could quickly go on five dates a week. Sporty even maintained a spreadsheet with detailed information on each of her dates, limiting each guy to a maximum of five.

Dates took Sporty to high-end New York restaurants, and one of her dates even bought her a $200 bottle of champagne.

“Before I barely had enough money to pay for food,” said Sporty. “After using Match.com I found I wasn’t going into debt anymore.”

-snip-

As of today, Sporty is no longer on the dating website as she is currently in a relationship and most likely freeloading off her new beau.

“It was exhausting,” she said. “I needed my sleep and I was done playing the game.”

Internet was off most of the day here.

Yeah.
But that’s also the state of dating in New York.
It’s pretty much “buy me stuff and I’ll do [insert activity here] for you.”

I feel sad each time I see people say that. Many very young women, nowdays, have lost all morals. Take me back to better days, lol.

Happiness is in giving, not using others, but they haven’t learned that.

I used the Pepperidge Farm brand. It was buy one get one and I had a coupon. :)

You can also make the dough but I am lazy.

Dating these days has been reduced to “mutual prostitution” pretty much.
Especially in New York where they are taught that nothing and no-one matters but them and their feelings/ self esteem.
A fine generation of sociopaths are in the works.
We’re seeing the first waves of them.

[nothing and no-one matters but them and their feelings/ self esteem.]

As you say, it is a sign of sociopaths. Those who care not a bit about others and what they are feeling. I’ve read up on that a number of times.

Obviously it must be worse in liberal areas, I’m in South Texas and it’s still pretty conservative here. I have three daughters and they are not like that.

I, unfortunately, live in New York.
Hence one reason why I asked Slings if this could be the Undead Thread for December.
Though I haven’t done the “official” ping yet.
I figured I’d let the thread go through a page or two first.

Dating In NY is... interesting.
And sometimes economically dangerous to your credit report and bottom line.
Former coworker of mine was the epitome of “psycho”.
She’d trade sex for trinkets, ‘date’ her ‘guy’ for a couple days, and be ‘seeing’ multiple men at the same time.
And she saw nothing wrong with such unhygienic behavior.
Heck, she reveled in how much of a witch she could be to everyone she worked with.
She would also call out sick to go out on her ‘dates’.
That her behavior was similar to a hookers never crossed her mind.

"- What a thread!"

It's the Undead Thread. The same one that was started by jjfate back in June of 2004.

Just like my great-uncle John's axe that once belonged to George Washington. The very same axe, although the handle had been replaced fourteen times and the head no more than five.

Could one assume when you says 2 dogs that these dogs are Alaskan Malamute Siberian Husky or Saint Bernard in size. I think it would take around 100 Chihuahuas.
