Do You Believe Herman Cain
Nodems2000

Posted on 12/01/2011 7:04:57 PM PST by Nodems2000

Well what does everyone think after the Hannity interview? I've listened carefully to all his interviews and even though I liked Herman very much, I believe he was involved with these women, even if they are scumbags. First, has anyone noticed how he seems to "prey" on women who are vulnerable and bogged down with financial and legal issues? Second, he has said repeatedly "my wife loves me so much" but he's yet to say "I love MY wife so much". Doesn't that sound very egomanical? Third, he said his wife would never tell him not to run. I'm suspecting she wouldn't dare tell him not to run because she's riding the Cain Train too - the Cain Money Train. If you watched her interview she sure didn't seem to be madly in love with him from things she said. And now he's going to "analyze" the phone bills to see if they match up with hers and he and his attorney will do an investigation. When Sean suggested he could get the info to clear himself very easily, such as videotapes in hotels, plane tickets, etc., etc. he suggested Sean wanted him to play detective! Well, sorry Herman, but it would take all of ten minutes to pick up the phone, call the Ritz downtown Atlanta and ask for videotapes on such a date and at such a time! That would end it once and for all. Him and his "analyzing". God help the 3 a.m. phone call - God forbid the red phone goes off for a missle coming our way - by the time he got done analyzing we'd all be bar-b-que!

” Yeah, I do believe him. I mean, unless he truly IS SUPERMAN and did all those girls while he had stage 4 cancer. “

The first four women accused Cain when he was at the NRA in the late 1990s.
White and Cain both agree that their relationship ( his words ) began in 1998.
Cain was not diagnosed with Stage IV Colon and Liver cancer until 2006 , when he had surgery and began chemo .
His last treatment , according to his book, was in Jan 2007 and he said he has been cancer free since then.

Didn't say he was, the lady Beck interviewed was the impartial one. That was the first link, the boyfriend was the second link. Trust me, I have no regard for these women, I think they are all despicable.

My problem is with Cain. His handling of all of this is my problem. He has yet to be truthful or take responsibility for his own actions. You can brush off the majority of it as opportunistic people but that he failed to recognize that makes him a poor judge of character and failed to protect his employer. If he worked for me I would fire him for that alone.

The new woman, he hid her from his wife. You can excuse that until you're blue in the face but every guy out here knows why you hide a 13 year relationship from your wife and every woman out here knows what she would think if it was her husband. Even if he never acted on it he still protected the possibility otherwise he would have told his wife. It speaks to his character.

Apparently Obama and Rahm are behind it. Obama couldn’t stand to run against a real black man.

You all are so Alinskyfied that you can’t see the Tactics from a hole in the ground.

C’mon Alinsky’s tactics were based, not on Stalin’s revolutionary violence, but on the Neo-Marxist strategies of Antonio Gramsci, an Italian Communist. Relying on gradualism, infiltration and the dialectic process rather than a bloody revolution, Gramsci’s transformational Marxism was so subtle that few even noticed the deliberate changes.

Like Alinsky, Mikhail Gorbachev followed Gramsci, not Lenin. In fact, Gramsci aroused Stalins’s wrath by suggesting that Lenin’s revolutionary plan wouldn’t work in the West. Instead the primary assault would be on Biblical absolutes and Christian values, which must be crushed as a social force before the new face of Communism could rise and flourish.

Do you get it now? It’s all a ruse. It’s a Soros orchestrated ruse.

Educate yourselves. OK?

Well, correct or not that is what is being reported. I want to give Cain the benefit of the doubt, but his crisis managment and damage control techniques have been nothing short of a disaster. A man who has reached this far up the business food chain would have gotten that type of training. I have seen the pressers, and I have no doubt that there is some truth to it. Is it as salacious as his detractors are making out? .... I hope not.

In any case Mr. Cain better nip this in the bud fast, or he will be flaming out soon.

What the hell, we nailed Christ to a cross. Why not destroy our own over some baseless accusations from incredulous sources.

It's disheartening to see the number or freepers, from the Newt Camp..no less, that do nothing pimp leftist tripe in order to tear down conservative candidates. IMO, Newt is above this, his supported should be as well. Instead, they argue like liberals. Pathetic. Obama aint the problem, he's the symptom.

>> In other words, you’re playing QB in a game you aren’t even in.

Huh? WTF are you talking about? I’m deciding who to vote for as president of my country! I damn sure have skin in this game.

>> Step back. Take a breath. Stop living minute by minute.

Huh? Stop weighing the facts as they come in? What sort of alternative universe do you occupy?

>> And put a higher standard on what “proves” a claim, and whether or not someone is “guilty before proven innocent” or the other way around.

Herman Cain is not on trial for a crime. He IS on trial before me, and my vote, for his character (or lack thereof). The standards that I apply are my own, not some court-of-law rules and certainly not the lax naive hero-worship standards of a Cain cult fanatic like you. When the first bimbo eruptions came to light I gave him the benefit of the doubt (you could research that claim right here on FR if you care to). But when HE by his OWN VOLUNTARY ADMISSION advises that he paid monthly maintenance over thirteen YEARS to a single woman — on TOP of the other bimbo eruption claims — I draw what to me is the only conclusion that I can draw. Herman cain is a HORN DOG in the Clintoon mold.

Case closed! (for me)

If you want to worship the character-flawed clown, and vote for him, knock yourself out.

I’ll add my 2 cents to this...

As many here know, I am not a Herman Cain supporter. My lack of support for him has nothing to do with these scandals.

I find this whole fiasco very disturbing. Like any decent person, I don’t like the idea of baseless (if it is truly baseless) character assassinations and the torpedoing of campaigns. It all seems to easy and who will be the next victim to get this same type of baseless torpedoing? I like Herman personally (caveat that this is all bunk) and I really feel terrible about what is happening to him. I saw him on Hannity tonight and he seems to be holding up well and that’s a testament to his characters (again caveat if this is all bunk).

I know the caveats above my be disturbing to some, but I don’t REALLY KNOW what the truth really is and I don’t think anybody can. However, for now I’m inclined to give Herman the benefit of the doubt - mostly because the evidence isn’t in the least conclusive and everybody is and should be presumed innocent.

On the other hand I don’t want to totally discount the accusers either. I heard Rush casting doubt about their credibility today on his show. The first thought that crossed my mind was “that’s a bit hypocritical”. Didn’t the left try to assassinate the character of Jennifer Flowers, Kathleen Willey and Monica Lewinsky? Didn’t Rush, Hannity, Levin etc. defend these women against these attempts? Perhaps, Flowers had more concrete evidence initially to base a defense on (the Clinton tape) and warranted a defense right out of the box. Kathleen only had her word, if my memory serves (let me know if it doesn’t). Monica was in the same boat initially as Kathleen until she produced the blue dress and put the issue to bed. Perhaps I’m all wet here. Maybe me memory of the events is too foggy now. I’d be interested in your views on it...

All told... I feel a bit conflicted by this whole thing...

It’s obvious Mr Cain knows how to “spread the wealth”, his wealth. He helps those in need. Some people are born that way.

Some women are leeches.

If Mr Cain had affairs, I only care about them if the act raises or lowers my taxes and keeps us safe from terrorists.

As to Mrs Cain, it’s a private matter between her and her husband.

OTOH, obama had no affairs and look how he rules us.

Exactly so. I’d have to suspend major disbelief to back Cain at this point.

And remember — it wasn’t a 60 minutes news crew that uncovered the thirteen years of hiding the truth from his wife. It was Herman Cain’s own admission.

this field sucks, IMHO.

Man do I ever agree. This is by far the most important election in our nation's history, and the GOP field is absolutely pathetic.

I am especially angry at Jim DeMint and Sarah Palin, because I am sure they both know, that they are needed, and are the only ones who can be our "Reagan" in this absoltue critical time. Our founding fathers did the right thing, though it wasn't the path to least resistance. (Sigh, we are screwed)

"The media plays the same g ame with everything else, whether it is Michael Jackson or some other random thing that peaks their tabloid interest. I never suspected it was something conservatives would take part of."

Sign up date, 11-18-11. According to this you are a newbie so you have no idea the kind of things the Freepers discuss. These kind of threads have been going since I signed up in 2000.

.

I have never before seen a man that I know of deliberately put himself in so many silly compromising and incredibly stupid situations

FR has become a pro & con battleground and Obama is raking in the cash, changing the subject, and getting away with lies that the ignorant public swallows and blindly repeats for him

JFK, Clinton, and Obama had/have the SS, FBI, DOJ, NAACP, ACLU, NOW and the media playing defense for them

No Republican will ever have that

We do not need a naive candidate or a knave candidate

You can all “teach them a lesson” again in 2012

That has worked out ever so well in the past

4 more years?

.
