Posted on 12/03/2011 7:35:33 AM PST by ICE-FLYER
It was a hoot to be on with Rush yesterday and I was able to float an idea to him..... Below is the text of my call, and right ater there was a guy who took it astep further to make a contest out of it for fun. So...why not have the nets best minds do the same?
Please come up with toy ideas Santa Rush can throw out.
RUSH: Albany in New York. Dave, welcome to the EIB Network. Hello, sir.
CALLER: Twenty-plus years of dittos to you, Rush. Thanks for the education and certainly the joy on the airwaves of.
RUSH: Thank you.
CALLER: I've really appreciated it over all these years.
RUSH: Thank you, sir, very much.
CALLER: You know, I know that you are absolutely not only the sentimental type but you are also the caring time, the loving Maha Rushie that you are. I've got an idea for you Rush and I honestly think you'll like it. I hope you do anyway -- and this is for all the Occupy folks because I know you care about them, and I know you love the military and you love a lot of the things that they do. I'm a member of the military myself. How about a "Toys for Snots" program.
CALLER: Toys for Snots, all the snots down on Occupy Wall Street. You could like throw them out toys like, "You Owe Me Elmo," where you pull the string and it says, "Health care is a right," or something like that.
CALLER: Or "Tax the rich," or, you know, "Where's my job?"
CALLER: Maybe we could have "Sponge Off Taxpayers" or "Captain AmeriCorps." You know, he stands for deceit, social justice and the Marxist way.
RUSH: (laughing and applauding)
CALLER: I just thought you, as Santa Rush --
CALLER: -- could come down the street in a big open sleigh like downtown Macy's, because you know how much they love Macy's. Go right down to Wall Street chucking out all these "You Owe Me Elmos" and --
CALLER: -- and everything. What do you think?
RUSH: I love it.
RUSH: I absolutely love it! Play off of Toys for Tots. You know, I first became aware of Toys for Tots when I was working in Pittsburgh and the radio station had a joint thing going with the Pittsburgh Penguins at the time, and we'd go into shopping malls late in the afternoon to stay with the Marines and the Toys for Tots and so forth. It was a hoot; it was fun. It's one of the most recent times I've been to a mall. It would be 19'73. I even did one with former Pittsburgh Steeler John "Frenchy" Fuqua, number 33. The guy showed up with goldfish in the heels of his shoes. John "Frenchy" Fuqua. Yeah, he's a great guy, and Pittsburgh people will no doubt remember him and the goldfish in the heels of the shoes, and now Two If By Tea associated with Marines. "Toys for Snots," a giant sleigh at Occupy, Toys for Snots? (laughing) Ah, that's one of those things I wish I had thought of myself. But the problem is, somebody has to tell the Toys for Snots snots that there's no Santa. Who gets that job?
Another I ehard was "Entitlement Barbie" so I would love to hear others.
I heard the call. That was great! I should send you a Barbie Boxer doll!
I heard you. Rush had a laugh over that.
It was a great call.
Has anyone else noticed now many callers have started sucking up to Rush to try and get a free I-Pad? Seriously, I know Rush didn’t intend for that to happen, and he was trying be benevolent and spread the Apple brand, but it’s becoming transparent and embarrassing.
I so enjoyed that call!
Thanks for the laugh ICE-FLYER!
That, is a good one.
“Where’s Is MY Fairy Tale Happy Ending Princess” . . . pick your Princess among many, Cindy, Snow, Belle or Aurora.
Ha! Had to be a Freeper! My dh had me listen to the call last evening on 24/7. Good job!
Oops, present company excluded.
Little Chevy Volts and call them Hot Wheels.
Great call, great idea.
don’t just talk about it, git r done.
you might have a problem using the “elmo” name. So I suggest you change it to “El Moe”...you owe me el moe.
That was a classic. No doubt FReeper inspired!
Pray for America
Rape Victim Barbie.
Dora the Stoner.
I was laughing so hard my eyes were gushing. Thanks!
All these toys would make a great GOP inspired Christmas political ad. Sure beats the heck out of those intolerant folks from the so-called party of tolerance left who have absolutely NO SENSE OF HUMOR.
I heard you! You really cracked me up with “you owe me Elmo”, I was laughing about that all afternoon!
I missed it Ice but will replay today on Elrushbo archives.
Can you tell us how you were able to get on the show?
Were you on hold for a long time?
Did you actually talk to Snerdly? ;-)
My idea is to throw out a few American “Exceptionalism” Girl dolls ..and watch the protestors recoil in horror and run screaming into the night at the sight of one.
I have two...
#1 is Governmentopoly... (a take off on Monopoly, where you start with $999,999 and the winner is the person who play the role of Washington, DC)
#2 Nationalize Rail Service....an electric train that is owned by the government and it doesn't stop in red states, but only in blue states.
It was a great call. It's rare that I get to catch Rush these days but I heard that call when I was going home from school. Thankfully, we're out earlier on Fridays.
Bo Snerdly took my call. Took me about 10 mins of trying. he loved it and was cracking up so he told me to hold...I did for 45 mins then was on.
“Little Chevy Volts and call them Hot Wheels.”
I think Matchbox cars would be better fit.
That was very clever!
How about Occupy Monopoly? You get a regular Monopoly game and a Molotov cocktail and a lighter. You go around the board taking a dump outside each address you land on. You collect welfare if you land on community chest. You try to avoid getting the rape card when you take a chance. Don’t land on the go directly to jail square, because you also get pepper sprayed. You win when you successfully torch Park Place and hop on one of the railroads heading to Portland.
I heard you and thought it was great! You could tell Rush was tickled as well.
Should have known you were a FREEPER...well done you!
Those damn pesky humans again.
OMG that would be a great idea
and “Ocuupy Boradwalk” version of Monopoly where the protesters get everthing they want and the other players pay for it~!!!!!!!!!
Who wants to collaborate on the rules here? Freepmail me and we’ll make an actual game board and send it to Rush
I heard you crack Rush up! It was a good segment and a great idea.
I also heard that. You were great. I hope it comes to something.
Any backers for producing these?
Probably be outlawed as ‘unsafe’ anyway.
Sell their photos on cups maybe. lol
We have a winner!!!
Awsome call... way to go
Ha, ha—I heard you too. Another famous FReeper.
We heard the call and loved it! We laughed all day about it!
I heard that call... That was a freeper call???
Normally calls like that to Rush bomb out big time...
But you pulled it off nicely! Hats off to you.
Here’s my idea:
Maybe it could be an “Arrest me Elmo”... saying “I need some toilet paper”
For Friedman and the rest of the editorial staff at the New York Times: Thomas and Fiends
And a little something for Obama’s economic advisors: Poke-recovery
I love it!!!
Lucky you...being able to talk to both of them!
You wrote: “Bo Snerdly took my call. Took me about 10 mins of trying. he loved it and was cracking up so he told me to hold...I did for 45 mins then was on.”
I heard your call and was LMAO :) GREAT IDEA! Love it!
As an addition to your thread, here is a blast from the past (2006). In one of the threads below there is a quote from Snerdly saying that he monitors FR all the time, “It is one of our big 10.” :) bttt

Rush Limbaugh says Republicans should adopt Freeper’s idea for Immigration Bill
Rush Limbaugh Radio Show | 4-5-06
Here is the exact transcript:
Rush: “Got an email from a friend who said someone on the Free Republic website has a great idea. And I’m not surprised that a Freeper would have a good idea. What ought to happen, the Republicans in the Senate, ought to go get a copy of Harry Reid’s release announcing his bill on Aug 5, 1993 ... go out and get his bill, and make it their own, because Harry Reid’s bill from Aug 5, 1993 is exactly what you hear me articulating on this issue, the past week or two. It’s identical ... Go to Drudge, or my website later ... “

I heard the call. It was truly hilarious and I hope people run with this - how very creative you are!
McDermott the Frog action figure. The Ock-U-Pie children’s toy baking oven. The Karlo Marx talking doll... pull his string and he says such things as “Private property is theft, but keep your hands off my iPad!” The “Home on the Rangel” children’s song book. And the featured gif, the “Michelle ma’ Belle Girl’s Bike” Perfect for the effeminate man in your life!
Great post - and funny. Thanks for sharing.
