If you rely on sunlight to heat your home, then solar already is on par with fossil fuels.

hahaha.

everything is solar powered. Plants get their energy from the sun. animals eat plants. oil is decomposed animals.

What would you expect the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of new and Renewable Energy to say? I'd hardly think he's speaking for the entire country, though.
