In an appearance that lasted three segments on NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Friday, Republican presidential candidate Texas Rep. Ron Paul gave a wide-ranging interview about his vision and how we would handle certain issues.

However, at the end of his interview, the Texas congressman gave his thoughts on some of his competitors, with some less-than-flattering words for his Republican colleague Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann.

Leno named off several of the candidates and Paul gave his opinion of each.

God HATES sin....I think it’s an appropriate word, especially in the way the world is today....there are things we should Hate and not apologize for doing so....instead we “tolerate” such things and thus no standards anymore.....each man does his own thing without consequences.

‘’It tends to affect you a bit’’. It should. The problem here is that so much of society , especially here in America has been conditioned to be ‘’tolerant’’. This pc nonsense about ‘’all cultures being the same, wanting the same things ‘’etc. This is not only nonsense it's suicide. There IS true evil in the world. Intractable, implacable and intolerable evil and no amount of ‘’tolerance;;(which is really the virtue of believing in nothing) is going to change it. It is a rare thing when it rears it's head, true evil, but when it does it must be confronted. We are creations of a Divine Being who made us in HIS image and we have the right, the duty, to defend our lives as HE gave us life and not to bow down or allow ourselves to be slaughtered on the altar of some evil’s twisted value system in the name of ‘’tolerance’’. Nazism was one of those rare evils that was a threat to humanity and it was vanquished. Communism was another one. But they were recent phenomenons. Islam has been on this Earth for 1,4000 years and shows no signs of abating.God loves us. Allah wants us dead. And I'll be damned if I'll ever allow myself or my family or my nation to submit to that.

If Paul weren't so naive about or evading the reality of Moslims' ultimate goal, and Paul's lack of desire to defend and protect the natural rights of Americans, he would hate them too.

And there it is -- it's out of the bag and on the table -- It's not about Obama's or even Bush's "liberating, regime change or nation-building the fill-in-the-blank Muslim country of the week in the ME" or whatever screwing around with ourselves "ME strategies" we devise . It's really about hatred for Muslims --ostensibly because they hate us & proved that on 9/11.

The truth is that most of us hate Muslims and want to wipe them all out, whether we want to admit it or not. That's why it's so easy to take us to war over there with little or no pretext. It's also why few are screaming their heads off that Obama is taking this on himself without getting Congressional approval -- because "We the People" don't want to take responsibility for starting a Crusade --and neither does Congress.

No one has to tell me about Muslims and how they hate us, their history, etc. I know it. I'm descended from people who spent 500 years under the Ottoman Turks and were delivered back to these Islamists 15 years ago in the Balkans -- by the very NATO who is currently fighting them.

IMHO it has nothing to with justifications, it has to do with admitting it and realizing that it influences all our political opinions.

Ron Paul does have a way of calling "a duck, a duck", when everyone one else is dancing around "potentially evolved, flat-beaked, web-footed, feathered, reptiles." It's useful.

Couldn’t disagree with you more. I think absent WTC 93 & 9/11 most Americans could care less about islam & muslims. Before the government decided we “needed” tons of muslim refugees and immigrants, islam was barely on the radar. The truth is, the combination of the above has awoken a lot of people to the fact that there is evil in the world and it wants to kill, convert or subjugate them regardless of what they or their governments have done or not done.

My biggest problem with Paul is that he ignores this aspect of the equation. Which means he is either dumb beyond belief (which is a disqualifier). OR, he is deliberately covering it up (traitor, also a disqualifier). I suspect that much like Jimmy Carter, Paul receives middle east “funding”. I would love to see that investigated/disclosed.

Bigger question after he said this is why is he helping islam in any way in any forum? Who in the world was he trying to impress with this? What votes does he get ? How does “smearing the bottom rung candidate help him?

Ron Paul will be 77 years old come his next birthday in 2012..his time has come and gone..

this is his third try at POTUS and after it is over he will have struck OUT..time to retire and be forgotten..

I’m sorry for the loss of so much of your family. It’s important to remember that five million non-Jews were put to death too. Also never forget that the ‘’Nazis’’ weren’t some thing that just fell out of the clouds one day into Germany. The Nazis were Germans. But most of all we must never forget the millions of every race and creed who perished in the horror of The Holocaust and we always remember and honor the sacrifice of millions more who gave so much and who fought so heroically to put an end to it.
