So, is Iowa the only state that gets to vote in our primary? McCain got only 13% in Iowa and went on to win just four years ago. A candidate getting over 10% when the winners were only in the mid-20s is still a viable candidate. If Santorum falters (which is likely), Perry still has an outside chance to compete in this thing. Bachmann was correct in stepping out with her results. Iowa was her only chance. Perry is teetering on being out, but not there yet. If things look back leading up to SC or after, it is then time to get out if he so chooses.

Iowa does not have the right to be the sole selector of our candidate, as you suggest.

I think Perry is a legitimate candidate with a chance. In particular, I think it makes sense for him to see how he does in some southern primaries (I believe that’s where he’d be strongest).

You may not like him for whatever reason, but I doubt he’s responsible for any current teenage murders in TX, and I also doubt that if he quit the race they’d stop shooting each other.

If he continues to place 4th/5th in NH, SC, FL, then I’d say it’s time to drop out.

Romney’s ceiling is 25% and Paul’s 20%. There’s still 55% to spread around the conservative candidates.Newt’s from Georgia and is looking OK in Florida and South Carolina. By the end of the month Santorum could be a distant memory, and Newt the new and improved new black.

February could be a better month for Perry with Nevada, Colorado and Arizona on the docket.

Unless he runs out of money, he should at least try to hang around until Texas awards 155 delegates on April 3. There’s at least a decent chance Santorum and/or Newt run out of money before then.

He said he was going to pray on it and see if there is a way forward, best I can recall.

Paul Supporters hate him with a passion. Also, there is a contingent of Illegal Haters as well.

Texas has kids shooting each other and he is goofing off running around the country not doing his job.

Wow, I am not seeing anything in the Texas State Constitution about the Executive Branch being in charge of Gang Bangers offing each other.

I realize you're not in TX, but if you've seen that in Our State's Constitution, please share it with us gap toothed hicks down here in the Lone Star State.

If Santorum and Gingrich are teaming up, you can bet Mitt and Rick Perry will team up to beat them. Perry will split the conservative vote with them and let Mittens slip through.

It will then be a Mitt/Rick ticket.

IMHO, your opinion is nuts.
