I don’t think they kick the PAT in OT. So it’s 29.
To: Hojczyk
OK can someone explain this. I thoughtr each team got one possesioin in OT now.
To: Hojczyk
Tebow had a passer rating of 125

Most enjoyable and satisfying game I’ve seen.
The stuff about Tebow can’t throw, can’t win, is over.
80 yard winning touchdown pass play on the first play of overtime!

Not if the first team to have the ball scores a touchdown. One play. 80 yards. Game over. Wow!

That’s what I thought too. They said this was the first non-sudden death OT in playoff history, didn’t they?

TD you win!
Field Goal the opposing team gets the ball and a chance to score.
To: fkabuckeyesrule
Only if the first team scores a FG because that’s what the whiners always complained about (apparently FGs become automatic in OT according to some), TDs are automatic end. Dumb rule. But at least it didn’t really take effect. Sudden death is the right OT.

Yeah--me too! Did the Steelers get a time of possession? Was waiting--very nervously--for the Steelers to be given the ball.
But--looks like no-one cares now. So--YAY!!

Serves those cheating underhanded Steelers right...3...count 'em 3 uncalled Steeler facemasks in the second half (two vs. Tebow)...The NFL should issue plenty of post-game fines...
Steelers were only in the game to begin with because an official blew a fumble dead early in the second half 17 yards away from another Bronco score.
This officiating crew needs to retire for the season...and a few of them for their career!
But the Lord does it again via Tebow!

Wow! If I had realized they won with that score, I would have hollered even louder. Yay Tebow!
To: jwalsh07
Or if the Defense had scored on a fumble or interception.
To: Hojczyk
Off the run fake. In the 4th quarter, I was pulling my hair out, wondering why they were running that same, easy-to-read, run play to the right side, over, and over, and over, as if it was going to fool the Steelers.
Now I know why. They were obviously saving the fake for overtime.

Most enjoyable and satisfying game Ive seen. What's most satisfying is that the Steelers will be denied another Super Bowl and another chance of a thank you to Obama. Dan Rooney's actions of 2009 are unforgivable. I've relished ever Steeler (aka the "Rooney Rulers") defeat since then.

Thanks everyone. Someone posted all the OT rules on another thread. So if you score a TD its over. Sweet. Can just imagine what Bill Maher was saying when he saw this.
To: discostu
“Sudden death is the right OT.”
I disagree - Denver scored first because they won by luck the coin toss. Each team should have a possession.

yes it was...a beautiful thing. Not least because it made fools out of the smug a--holes who dumped on Tebow all year and said he can't play.
Coming against the Stillers makes it even sweeter.
To: Hojczyk
Have had no stomach for NFL football for quite some time......having said that, it has been most satisfying to follow Tebow! What an amazing finish!

No, Denver won because they executed when it counted. The coin toss gave them the possession, the TEAM made the play. And I bleed black and gold. It’s football, both teams have the opportunity to score on every play. It ain’t baseball, teams don’t need turns. If Polamalu doesn’t blow his assignment he would have been in good shape for an INT, possibly a pick 6. The Steelers had the chance and failed. Nobody won because of the coin toss.

I agree, that blown fumble call was blatant. The backward pass wasn't even close to being a forward pass. But hey, they gave the Steelers a whole Super Bowl against Seattle a few years back, just so the fat old Steeler runningback could go out a winner, so...I guess in the scheme of things this was a minor piece of corruption.

Looks like Rushs team lost again. The Steelers of the "Old Man" were a far different team from another era. Chaz Noll was a great coach and I can understand why Rush Limbaugh had an affinity for the team. But, as I said, the outrageous thanks to Obama by Dan Rooney has forever marred the Steelers (along with the racist Rooney Rule). I hope that Limbaugh reevaluates the situation and supports Tebow's team through the playoffs.

That was one hell of a way to end a playoff game.
To a Steelers fan, it had to be like a punch in the stomach.
