Mrs. FD was trapped under an underpass while the hail pummeled North Irving/Coppell (following 35E Northbound). My flight home this weekend was cancelled from all the planes taken out of service for damage.

That is the interface — I go back and forth between “Last” and just the page refresh. The I get like 10 or 15 messages and 2 singers have come and gone and usually 1 great snark opportunity.

It's hard to imagine that anyone can listen to Holly Cavanaugh and Jessica Sanchez, compare the two, and come to the conclusion that Holly is the superior singer (or the superior performer). Holly doesn't even share that opinion.

Sanchez is astonishing. Cavanaugh is talented for a teenager. Last night she might as well have been on her high school gymnasium stage, and she knows it.

I've heard of rooting for the underdog, but this is ridiculous.

Holly's supporters favor her over Sanchez for cultural reasons, not artistic ones.

Not that any of this matters anyway. If history is any indicator, the worst singer left in this year's competition will win. His name is Phillip Phillips.

I missed the thread this week because I am out of town for the week, celebrating Easter with family. I was able to catch most of the show last night, though I “missed” DeAndre. On the recap, though, I thought he stunk up the farm! What the heck were the judges talking about?? I also was pissed at the way they dissed Hollie. I thought she did really well.

My parents would NOT have appreciated me tap, tap, tapping away on the laptop through the show, so I had to watch without the snark. Boo.

Me too! De’Andre is not my taste in music, but he was 100% better than Elise last night. She deserved to go home, not De’Andrea.

Elise just does not have “star power”, “stage presence”, she’s OK, but she just doesn’t have “IT”.
