I received an email from my sister-in-law. Below is what she wrote.
Her sister is in her forties and lives in Central New York.
I'm a realist. I know it's bad, but I told her I would help. So here I am, asking for help.I truly appreciate your advice. FReepers are very knowledgeable in many areas. Thank you.
Dana Farber in Boston does some mirculous work...
They might see if Huntsman Cancer centers can help. Yes it’s John Huntsman’s father’s hospital but I doubt your relatives will care if they can help.
I’ll make sure to pray as well.
MD Anderson in Houston.

Best friend’s wife got lung cancer and has never smoked in her life. They could choose and pay for the best. After research they chose Mayo.
Sloan Kettering in Manhattan is one of the best in the world and given her location in New York State could be the easiest to get to for her.
May God be with her.
I once read a person can live without a stomach.
I am sorry, Lysie, I don’t know about the hospitals. I can pray for her and her family though.
2nd on Mayo - they saved me from near death with pancreatitis.
M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and any of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Those commercials about CTCA are true, from what I’ve heard.
For the fifth year in a row, and the eighth time in the past 10 years, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center earned the No. 1 spot in U.S. News & World Reports annual rankings of the best hospitals for cancer care.
Since the survey began in 1990, MD Anderson has been ranked every year as one of the top two hospitals in the nation for cancer care.
