Is this on the web anywhere. That would be so un-Mitt-like, not the Mitt we know who tries to please a little bit of everyone even if it means flipping like a Mexican jumping bean.

Drudge also appears to have gone full-blown anti-Newt. Dudge has 5 anti-Newt stories one right after another on the top right of his page. What is Drudge’s deal?

He's gay. Makes sense since Coulter is apparently a fag hag. It's a shame really because her book "Treason" was very well researched and opened my Gen-X eyes.

I was in the middle of a work day with all my chemical gear on and was just taken aback. I also knew from listening to Rush for 20 years that even if I got through he would not re-address the comment. It was in the second hour of a show within the past two weeks. Maybe third hour. If someone has his archives start with the 9th.

I think she’s gunning for a spot on the View . . . and, if that’s the case, “I’ll watch it with the sound off.”

laweeks: You watch The View? How can you take it? Elisabeth just isn’t strong enough to stand up to those menopausal shrews.
I haven’t seen it in a couple o’years..though I will say that at one time, my daughters and I were in the front row at one of their tapings in NY.

They picked us from the line because they want those who sit in front to be attractive. My daughters fulfilled that requirement so I got to tag along! :-)

Just kidding, Mountain Mary. The last thing I want to do is watch that fat bag of pork products, Karin Johnson (Whoopie Goldberg who has murdered 6 of her babies in abortion clinics), and the idiot who can't speak without the 'wisp (Wonald Weagan's Ewection), and even Elisabeth keeps her trap shut because she's afraid they'll either sit on her or eat her. I think we are seeing the life going out of Coulter and all that is left is the verbal weapons she honed over these years. Like many women she centered her life on her career and is coming into her 50s empty of love and meaning with no way to turn back the clock. She is turning to the dark side and becoming a liberal zombie.

Pity her.

I think this is why they are attacking Newt so much.

The likes of Hume, Hannity , Coulter, FOX, ETC ETC ETC Christie who has just appointed a homosexual to the bench for the first time in NJ Drudge etc

They all want Romney because he is a liberal on social issues and they know Newt is more conservative and not for the queer agenda and he could stop this insane policy of allowing openly serving homosexuals and cross dressers.

they are all afraid that their elitist cocktail north east and beltway homosexual and cross dressing pals could be affected and Newt will defend issues like normal marriage.

I’m sure there is tons of money coming in from the homosexuals, cross dressing community for Romney.

Well outside of those establishment circles and the beltway and the north east and west coast we the real people non party, many Dems and republicans who are not from there for the most part and conservatives have had enough and want to get back to having kids raised by a man and a woman, kids not given shots to stop them reaching puberty so those homosexuals can mutilate and make the boy into a girl with a sex change, where marriage is what it should be and kids are not taught in the public schools that homosexuality is normal along with and don’t forget the most important issue

JUDGES which will be placed and not accept this perversion for the future.

Right now we’ll be doing well to tread water in Congress. The candidates are flawed and the media will higlight every one and ignore anything harmful to Obama. “Now she’s all in with the GOP establishment against the tea party.”

You have dealt with her personally. Is she changed, or just showing what she always was?

I can’t really get that mad at her for supporting Romney, but it is the extremes she goes to do so. There is no good reason for here to talk trash about Newt....we know he is flawed. I for one accept that fact and have decided he is still the best overall pick. IF these were more peaceful times I, a primarily a social conservative, would be supporting Santorum....because he is right on social/morale issues and he is really right about the danger of Islamists. I admire his courage to speak out on that when it isn’t politically correct. Whatever, in the times we are in, I feel that Newt is best suited to lead the GOP charge against Obama, and to be the best president. I do wish he would pick Santorum as his VEEP.

Romney is too “moderate” (a polite way of saying “liberal light”). Also, I must be honest that his Mormonism makes him unpalatible to me. I will say, I have no doubt he is a decent and honorable man....I just don’t think he is the best choice for POTUS. I cannot understand Ms. Coulter’s adoration of the man. To support him...I understand....but adoration is scary.

BTW - Although I can’t get mad, per se, for Coulter chosing Romney (she is wrong of course). However, she was COMPLETELY out of line in likening South Carolina voters for Newt as a “Mob.” That is just going too far.

She should publically apologize for that.

Very unusual. She’s a pro-life, pro-gun, pro-Reagan Christian small government, strong defense conservative all the way. Mitt has a record of being anti-Reagan, anti-life, anti-gun, anti-small government (RomneyCare), though he lies about that today while seeking the presidency as a Republican.

Just heard the 11:00 pm replay on O-Really.

She had apoplexy talking about Newt.

She talked a mile a minute and sounded irrational and shrill. A real harpy.

In the old John Wayne movies, she was like the hysterical woman who has to be smacked to calm her down before the big Indian attack.

She asid Romney was the most conservative and Newt the most of liberal of the candidates we have left.

She also said that Newt just plays to the audience—tells them whatever they want to hear.

THAT sounds like Romney to me.

Ann is outed. A RINO posing as a conservative.

She needs an intervention.

Assuming Newt gets the nomination, it will be just fascinating to see which of today’s crop of Newt bashers fall in line and suck up, hoping for some relevance in a Gingrich Administration, and which would rather sabotage Newt as they did Sarah Palin, even if it means Obama wins again.

I dropped Ann a couple of years ago after I read one of her books. The material was decent, but she rambled, she repeated, she hyperventilated, she threw out a number of juicy quotes sure to give book reviewers hysterics — but which she knew Conservatives would love...

And she laughed all the way to the bank.

And it irritated me immensely because the material was good — in fact it was absolutely stunning. But the majority of the country is not going to read it and those who will are already the type who wouldn’t be surprised.

Oh well. I imagine she’s going to sell a lot fewer books in the future.

I think you are confounding "establishment" with "financial backers". Most of those folks with the big bucks have been blue haired elderly women who clip coupons on bonds sold by industrial and wholesale concerns.

They really don't directly participate in party operations.

The "country clubbers" pretty much provide organizational structure. The "young republicans" claim they do the boots on the ground stuff.

Then there are the Party Professionals who make it their occupation to run campaigns and groom candidates.

Those folks AND the candidates probably make up the greater body of the people you think to be the "establishment". There aren't all that many of them BTW.

Some analysts have begun referring to them as "the media establishment" to differentiate them from Real Republicans.

Not to read them out of the party but the "media establishment" does not share many of the values of the social, fiscal, defense and other types of Conservatives who make up the broad base of the Republican voters.

Well, guess I just did read them out of the party!

I was creating a sort of deadly comparison ~ praise him for creating jobs, and point to his having fired people as a reason the unemployed youth are not likely to vote for him.

This sort of thing is done frequently in rhetorical declamation.

His strong point is JOBS but his weak point (within the JOBS framework) is FIRING. The big issue in this election ~ which is kind of invisible at the moment ~ is the existence of an intractable mass of 26 million unemployed people. Obama has no idea what to do. Only Republicans know how we are going to deal with it. We can't help them unless they vote against the Democrats and for the Republicans.

Our best candidate is not Romney ~ besides not actually being that good a guy to put out there on the JOBS question, he's also someone who sold his moral principles on the issues of baby killing, elder death, gaydom and so on, which you correctly pointed out, but those simply weren't the issues I was addressing at the moment.

She actually believes there's a massive army of Independents out there who are ready to vote for a so-called "Republican Moderate" if given a chance. Otherwise they'll vote for Obama.

It's a bizarre belief. After all, if there were truly broad masses of Independents we'd have heard about them somewhere besides structured polls. They have no spokesmen, they have no candidates, they have no cohesive ideology ~ so who are they other than people invented for the purpose of misrepresenting American public opinion.

I was speaking from a “secular” point of view as the average person sees. Were I speaking from a “Christian” view...I wouldn’t have been as charitable. Abortion is an Abomination. Of course, to be fair, so is sexual immorality. The key is if the person has trully repented.

Never fear, I have NO intention of EVER voting for Romney.
