Mafia ? (Il zotto di pazzo)

Posted on 02/01/2012 3:44:24 PM PST by chrismac

It might be connected with the strange goings on around here : Our car stolen, with $4000 of damage; Our neighbour's healthy rabbit dying unexpectedly; Our neighbour's letterbox being destroyed; Curious spam emails about las vegas; The odd curious phone call; Faeces being smeared on our church Car windows smashed and things taken at church - they now have patrols as a result Breakin at church and organ damaged. Mysterious deaths of stars, such as Heath Ledger, Brittany and her husband, Michael Jackson, David Carradine, and others : http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2010/05/24/what-killed-brittanys- husband.html http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/31103217/ns/today-entertainment/t/david- carradine-found-dead-thailand-hotel/

Connect the dots if you dare, to see the truth.

I should grind some more coffee beans today.

So should I. I used the last of the ground coffee we had this morning.

DP bought arugula seeds today. We’ll have to clean out a garden bed to plant them; there’s been lots of cat-excavating all winter.

You could grow some plant/plants.

When I read seeds I was thinking of vegetables, yes we do have some flowers up here and I did have a purple flower, (name escapes me now) I gave to neighbor when we left on vacation last year. I can still see it blooming in his window each day.

I have house plants and have been successful with flowers indoors.

thanks for link.

I wouldn’t have watched 46 episodes of “Lie to Me” if I didn’t like it ;-). We have plenty of other choices on Netflix. It’s quite fascinating. Over time, the plots tended to get more “typical crime drama,” with less originality, but I still like the characters.

"You could grow some plant/plants. "

Plants can be grown in almost any climate, with the proper preparations.

The light levels will be adequate. What is needed is a means of elevating the ambient temperatures.

This is akin to the problem of finding comfortable shelter in any climate; the key is Earth-sheltering and insolation.

If you were building a house, I would say, dig deep, and insulate well. "Insolation" means how much sunlight you collect.

The rules for a "greenhouse" are slightly different. It's almost impossible to insulate effectively enough to overnight your plants without supplemental heat.

The best you can do is to earth-shelter by using a "pit" greenhouse. This means digging down at least four feet, building your greenhouse above the pit, and collecting solar energy in the walls of the pit. This can work surprisingly well, and with the right selection of plants, could provide you with fresh vegetables throughout the winter and summer.

You might choose to build against the south wall of your house, if that works out for you.

You do need sufficient space for the greenhouse, but it needn't be all that large.

Ya know, if you put the boat in the water, it doesn't take as much effort to make it move.

I'm just sayin'.

Reminiscing, thinking of the old Dimensional Doors/Freeoples threads.
And recalling those who are no longer with us.
Some of you are aware that we no longer have Cardy and tiapam.
Others, may not know.

Was wandering through the old threads and felt.. nostalgic.

This isn’t bad, but the vocalist from late-period Kansas (Elefante?) had a sharper, more-focused tone on the high notes. This singer sounds a little vague, in comparison.

Their drummer is keeping time, though. I think that’s very important! My band, El Grupo Alabare’, has two weeks before our next performance: we can make our drummer practice, for a change!

I was shocked to hear of the accident, I knew Cardy and Yorkie, but don't remember tiapam on those threads.

We should plot some kind of day to resurrect the thread later this spring or summer, just a day or so. Finding a lot of the old participants might be difficult though.

letitring, and wingsofgold haven’t posted in awhile.
Budge passed away.
Judith Ann too.
Tiapam was in the vehicle with Cardy and Yorkie.
Westy apparently passed away the same night of his last post.

And we have no real way to know if any others have passed on unless someone clued us in.

Grannie9 hasn’t posted since Al got ill, and I haven’t heard anything from her since.

I knew about Westy, and about Gran (and Al), it's hard to know about the others, a fairly substantial portion still post, every once in a while I see them here, some have stopped posting altogether as you said (derly likely being comatose in some corner sucking her paws).

I don't have time to think about it right now, but a couple of months ago, bq, the mascot, the turnip, and a certain freshwater freak had some nefarious thoughts of bringing back the thread for a planned day of nonsense, general mayhem and fun.

But since DD shut down, she’s been sporadic.

I was here earlier, but just lurked and opted to head for Walmart before it got light outside. I like to look at the valley when all the lights are on. It’s really very pretty.

We are expecting a high of 56 today, with possible rain and cold wind by nightfall. Ugh.

The weatherman still hasn’t figured out that we always have a few days of winter that we have to use up before spring can officially arrive.
