I didn’t have time to check for the pretzel/mustard/onion/bacon thingys as I was worried about the bus. It only comes once an hour, and there is no way I want to wait a full hour for that thing...
And the bus driver was a dork. I asked him to kneel the bus and he dropped the entrance an inch. Adding to that, he had two stops for RR tracks, at which, he is required by law to open the door and listen. He didn’t do it either time.
Tsetse flies are typical in Africa. I’ve never heard of them migrating in any way shape or form.
It’s a joke. She’s saying she thinks she has Sleeping Sickness.
I can’t sleep too long. It just makes working through the aches and stiffness of getting up worse.
I could make the excuse that I might be getting old, but I know it couldn’t be that.
Heh! My achy joints respond to natural remedies...things that can be administered as many times as a person wants. Prescription drugs can only be used “once or twice a day.” And then there are all the cautions with prescription drugs...
So Catpup is only bugging YOU these days?
Doesn’t have time to stop by and bother the rest of us?
I feel so slighted.
I hope they keep them in Africa; we don’t need more problems.
I don’t like taking scrips, either. Care providers want to run the other way when they see me coming (I’ll only take drugs that have been on the market for 30-40 years lol! The comical part is that I’ve been right most of the time.)
I wouldn’t be me otherwise.
When I hear all the adverse reactions to certain prescription drugs, I refuse to take them because the “Cure” is worse than the disease. If I can’t find an herbal remedy, then I let Nature take its course.
I refuse to be a guinea pig for a pharma-giant who witholds a drug, waiting for the need to increase so the price can go up. So bury me in a pine box and XXXX on my grave. Life is only what I make it.
And with that, I’m off to bed. The Stig is feeling better...he sang a little today. Maybe tomorrow will see him singing longer songs!
Glad Stig feels better!
Goodnight and sweet dreams, y’all!
Prayers requested for our 15 month old nephew
Thread for our attention and notification.
Red, I have the prayer thread linked here for the Undead Threaders.
I ALMOST went to bed! LOL! My son called, speakerfone and all that, to remind me of the visit in two weeks. I get to see his and her sons, and that is a REAL bonus! I can hardly wait!
Anyway, now I am REALLY off to bed! The Stig is doing great!
Hoping for bedtime here soon.
It rained here today, I still have to go out in the rain to put water in my fountain while rain. It was making grregaling noises. That is the fountain make the noise.
Rained here today.
It rained here today.
What is the “it” for?
It occurred to me that the movie Tron would make a great ballet.
Do you think cousin It is related to Chewbacca?
Do you remember Ken Berry making a soup commercial. A song and dance Broadway style with top hat and tails? Was it great American soup?
In Washington were allowed to play with a stream of water that went through the play ground. While playing with the water we could run down the stream yelling dam it with out getting in trouble.
My mind has wandering aimlessly.
I feel better now.
What’d I miss?
An asteroid could strike the earth in 2040.
"Nice little planet you've got here. Be a shame if something was to happen to it."
Just when things were going so well, too.
I’ll see your one nap, and raise you two siestas.
What do I get for 4-1/2 hours on the sofa with a baby and a cat?
Maybe Cousin Itt and Chewbacca have a common ancestor, but I believe it was remote. Please note that there is no scientific rationale here. Facts just confuse me.
Good morning, beautiful people!
Good morning. It is morning. I was going to drive to the Scouting shop today and get some uniform items, but it turns out Bill’s Eagle Scout paperwork (which needs to be taken there) is not done. *Sigh*
“What do I get for 4-1/2 hours on the sofa with a baby and a cat?” Congrats for getting 4-1/2 hours of consecutive down time.
True. Once she finally went to sleep, she was pretty serious about it.
Greetings, Gypsy, from my new house in the Sunshine State!
Head Cats are quite rare.
I think there are more of them than we realize - they have invisibility powers. I’m sure Mitt Romney is controlled by a cat ... probably a heavy, idle, long-haired cat ...
Been a weird day.
Got called into work, and it is snooo-ing.
That controls his mind......
Head Cat, this universe version of Half Life’s Head Crabs.
Thank you for sharing good family news (human and Stig)!
There was a parasitic creature in “Babylon 5” that controlled people’s minds, and you could only see them when the host was extremely drunk. Apparently the thingies got drunk, too, went to sleep, and lost control of their cloaking function.
Yeah, they stuck one on Londo Molari.
and it’s still there!
But thankfully you don’t mutate.
Just a wee bit....
I’m a skeerd a YOU, guy! Got any piccies you’d like to share?
My son and his wife told me a month ago that they would be coming out for her birthday (her folks live 120 miles from here) but in the phonecall, they told me that the boys were coming with them.
That is exciting!
Both are named Sam...
My computer updated this morning, and installed Explorer 9, and I lost my Favorites file.
And accidently, I found it again on the right side of the screen instead of the left. *cusswords and shuckydarn!*
What a waste...
Yay, you’ve surfaced! I’ve been dying to know if you’ve moved in yet, what your neighbors are like, what’s going on, have you gone to any functions there? (There’s something about this thread that brings out my inner yenta.)
Have you ever seen ligers or tigons? One of them has a growth control switch that forgets to turn off....
At least your computer responds to things you do. Mine takes off on a tangent of its own accord.
Lots of cloud cover, rain and thunder—will probably dematerialize soon....
Well, now that the mouse problem is solved, the computer is somewhat tame. However, my brain does not respond kindly to sudden changes of any kind, including the shifting of my Favorites file from the left to the right.
The Stig is now taking an interest in a “honey-seed” gift from a FRiend, so I know he is nearly finished with his molting. He is still devouring the “molty-food”
He needs to be done with it all by March 15 because he is going to Busdaddy’s while I’m otherwise diverted by my son and his family.
