There were so many things against Whitney, including backlash from some in the black community back in the 80s who claimed she wasn't 'black enough'. Many speculated her marriage ti Bobby Brown was to gain cred.

Sorry to say, it killed her.

it is a shame when she first started or at least when I first seen her video she was young, full of energy and happy then she meet and married Bobby Brown and all went down hill from there

This is a surprise. Whitney was a year behind me in high school. Mount Saint Dominic is a small all girls high school in Caldwell, NJ. We took the same bus to school. I remember her as a tall, thin black girl who glasses and her hair in braids. I knew her name and face, but did not know her personally.

Her first album was amazing and one of my all time favorites. Unfortunately, she made some horrible choices and her life thereafter was a disaster. RIP.

That denial is dated September 13 no year, I remember the scandal that followed her appearance at the Jackson tribute but can’t remember what year it happened, she is definetly passed away, it’s all over the news.
