Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" won record and song of the year. Rolling in the Deep" is a song recorded by English singer-songwriter Adele for her second studio album, 21. The song was written by Paul Epworth and Adele, who described it as a "dark blues-y gospel disco tune. It is considered to be a crossover hit, the biggest in the United States from the past 25 years, gaining airplay from many different radio formats. It was first released on 29 November 2010 as the lead single of the album. The lyrics describe the emotions of a scorned lover.

My point. I bet if you looked at every Grammy nominee and winner tonight, you would find less than ten per cent were classically or formally trained. They are all pop culture products mimicking sounds they have grown up listening to. Oh well . . .

My point. I bet if you looked at every post of yours...you would find 10 percent of them were original. The rest were mimicking other posts. Oh well.

You know...with FEW exceptions...THAT is the NATURE of music...even amongst those YOU "grew up listening to" and even amongst those who do the "classical training."

Maybe I’m just getting old but I rather like the husky voice of Kim Carnes when she sings “Bette Davis Eyes” or maybe the voice of Roseanne Cash singing “Seven Year Ache”. I not so sure about this Adele.
