What a great day you should have. Enjoy those little ‘rockers’! ;)
Hope things are healing well. Have you been outside lately? I know you enjoy the outdoors! ;)
Same here, teenie, and to think my mother was the best seamstress in the world. Sewing has always made me a bit nervous. Occasionally, I open my sewing machine to sew a seam or hem some knit slacks but I don't do a great job. I keep a piece of material handy and try the stitching out on the scrap before I decide what to use on the hem. What I hate most of all is threading the machine and putting thread on the bobbin to match!
Dress slacks have to be hand hemmed to suit me. I'm looking for someone now to hem some new slacks I just purchased. I haven't found anyone yet and need the slacks because I've lost some weight. My doctor thinks its the pain pills that are making me lose weight. But pain alone can tear the whole body up, I think. The last couple of days I've been a little hungrier and have eaten better!
Hi, Teenie! Yup - I’m getting out every day!
The weather is beautiful here in CA - And, I get to keep my windows open at night!
JC, I am sure you look cute in those pants - even if they ARE a bit too long!
How about these slacks? Are they too long?.....LOL!
You won't be able to go far but the length should be just about right! lol
How much do they need to be taken up and how wide is the lace?
LOL! You know me too well! :)
(((((I'm So Thankful for your FRiendship and your Prayers)))))
Just dropping in to say hi and thanks for the pings. I have been busy with my new computer and finally finished my first graphic in over half a year or more. Have to say I do not really like Window7, such a big change from XP and many of the features I liked are gone.
Hope all’s well and you have a nice weekend.
I love your graphic and verse, just so pretty Teenie. I was not posting for almost a month and just getting in the groove again.........I think, lol. Wishing you well.
I love your image Jaycee, it’s great! Sorry I’m not here more but my life’s been ‘involved’. Funny thing - April Fool’s Day last year was the beginning of a bad year for me and I’m counting on an end to it in a few days, lol.
Hope you are feeling well, we are all having our troubles and I keep all of you in my prayers.
You sound like hubby. His latest 'puter has Windows7 and he doesn't sound real happy with it. I suppose it takes some getting used to.
Hope all is well with you!
Hi Meg, just dropping in to say hi and wish you well. Want to thank you for your post on my political graphic, I just started posting them again after a long spell.
Your frame on that graphic is just beautiful!!
Yorkie, I’ve missed so many pings and goings-ons here and it’s wonderful to see you here and posting a lot. I want you to know that I’ve prayed for you each night, by name, and hope you are doing well. No need for a reply, just want you to know.
Hi Teenie. If I could go back to XP I’s do it in a second but Windows doesn’t upgrade XP any more - from what I know. I’ve had it a month now and am used to some things but miss so many features that have changed.
I’m well, still have some family illnesses going on though.
Your sense of humor is so unmistakably unique! :)
Really sorry to hear that but it seems to be the norm in most families these days! *sigh*
Take care of yourself. Hope we 'see' you more often!
It does seem to be the norm anymore, sorry to say!
Thanks Teenie, have a nice weekend.
No, and the back surgeon did not mention a compression fracture to me. I dislike not being informed especially when it comes to my medical care.
Ear test went ok was nearly painless..pain was from my lumbar contacting a hard surface. Even soft ones are a no go.
Any one ever hear of a I or E stem for the back to treat bladder pain?
They are spending less and less time with me. I feel like I am getting shafted and shunted off as a nut case. Yet all my test say horrid stuff.
Wonder if they make an 8 or 10” stiletto? Of course, I may be nursing a broken hip afterward. I don’t know how anyone wears them. I noticed the gals on Fox wear the highest heels I’ve ever seen. I sometimes wonder how many falls they may have had! And if they haven’t fallen yet, their time could come.
I believe they would need to be cut off about 4 inches, plus allow one inch more for hemming. (I bought 2 pair.) I just went in the bathroom where they’re on a hanger and its sort of a little scalloped braid around the leg bottoms. The lace was on the pocket of the top and around the neck. I can do without the scalloped braid at the bottom I guess but I sorta liked it.
Last time I bought P.J.’s I found petites and on me they were perfect full lengths!
I’ll take that as a good thing. LOL!
Also, all of yorkie's troubles, and Dubya has never made it back yet.
And of course Dave had bladder cancer and is making very good
progress on his recovery. Thats what I mean when I say
it could have been worse.
[You and I both have had many bad things this past year.]
I hope you are doing ok Jaycee. Pain and troubles are not fun but it helps to have friends and loved ones. Thanks for thinking of me too and I’ll try to ‘check in’ more often, lol.
I’ve continued to pray for Dubya and Dave too.
Conor - aren’t you the ‘train’ buff? I have something to post to you, if you are!
That waterfall looks so soothing and peaceful! Lovely Yeats writing also, Conor. Hope you’ve had a nice and peaceful Thursday! TGIF is coming right away!
For many years, Allen Funts Candid Camera television program delighted viewers by using a hidden camera to catch the often hilarious reactions of ordinary people to unexpected situations. Their approach, according to his son Peter was: We believe people are wonderful, and were out to confirm it. Peter feels the perspective of some other similar shows is that people are stupid, and were going to find ways to underscore that.
His comments point out that our view of people determines how we treat them.
The citizens of Jericho were offended when Jesus went to the home of Zacchaeus the tax collector. When they saw it, they all complained, saying, He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner (Luke 19:7). Yet, when Zacchaeus had a deep change of heart (v.8), Jesus told him, Today salvation has come to this house . . . for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost (vv.9-10).
My friend Bob Horner says, When we see people as losers, we treat them with contempt. When we see them as lost, we treat them with compassion.
Jesus doesnt see losers, only lost people He loves. When we look at others, who do we see?
Read: Luke 19:1-10
Good Morning Mayor. Once again ODB provides us with a great devotion.
Got a follow-up visit with my Dr. this morning up in Sacramento. Things are going okay except for the continuing pain and weight loss. I haven’t weighed this amount since my early high school daze. If I turn sideways I disappear from people’s vision. ;^)
God Bless you Dave. You are in our continued Prayers my FRiend.
Before your burden overcomes you, trust God to put His arms underneath you.”
Beautiful prayer. Let us remember it throughout the day.
Then there's the other side of that coin. Little ones calling their Mom by her first name. You just never know! :)
I have an upset tummy today. I did make it thru the 6th grade Easter Party ... now, I’m going to bed.
Happy Friday everyone.
Very pretty, teenie. I didn’t feel like putting together a red Friday graphic. We all must have had a bad day as there wasn’t much posting but I found that baby and it tickled me...that look on his face was really something! LOL!
I don’t much like kids calling their mothers by their names instead of Mom or Mama or Mother. I guess its what we teach them. That subject never arose in my household....I guess its the younger generations, maybe??
So sweet, Luv. Thank you.
Back from our trip to the Dr. Pathology report confirms I’m cancer-free.
You’re welcome, Jaycee!
PTL! You must feel so relieved at that news!
Prayers continue for you to be free of pain!
Hoping life gets better for you. potlatch. Thank you!
