There is no difference between Romney and Obama. We, the Republic, are being denied the choice to say NO to socialism. It’s a setup. The fix is in. We, the Republic, have been loosing a war of financial attrition for decades. We, the Republic are engaged in a war with those who govern us. Drastic measures are required to defeat this enemy in order to stop the bleeding that each of us are seeing in the depreciation of our savings, the constant onslaught of taxes, fees, and licenses. Each of them designed to remove our ability to live free. If a slave is a person who works for no money, then a paid person who works with no money left for savings or investment is therefore a slave. In each case work is done, the slave is fed and roofed. Fellow Freepers. We can act. We must act. In concert, by crafting a set message, perhaps like above,and post it in every “comments” section of every site any of us encounter. We keep posting the message so as to educate and enrage any reader everywhere. Particularly in all newspapers and news sites prior to each primary. We must try to influence people other than ourselves about the demise of freedom that the powers have planned. What better way then to stick with a message and keep spreading it? We could organize a copy and paste posting attack. We identify what sites, we declare a day and time for our educational crusade, then strike! We don’t stop. We keep it up and convince others to copy and paste the same message. With in weeks we could change the political landscape. We are not the minority. It may seem it, for our voices have been silenced for far too long. It is time we out shout this evil, well organized attack on our liberties. We must become equally well organized. Our message is clean and simple: Freedom.

The American people have forgotten their roots and I believe that all is lost.
I would love to do what you say but I am currently trying to feed and house my family. I do not have access to a computer at work and I have 2 jobs. The rest of my time is spent cooking and sleeping. I have a few minutes each day to check out my favorite sites but no time or energy to poke the left.
I am worried for my country too but I think the time is not right. We need to get Rush and Lady Gaga off the minds of the public and something must happen to enrage them to take action.
At some point Americans will emerge from their stupor but until then.....

Actually, we're bing denied nothing. On election day, we have the option of selecting a candidate for a given elected position, or not. There is nothing that says every position MUST have a selection for your ballot to count.
This November is shaping up to be a choice between Obama, Romney, or no one. If no one wins, it is probbly counted as a vote for Obama. But, whomever you choose, you have a choice between Obama or Obama-lite.
Just pretend that you are in Russia and your choice is between Putin or 10 years in Siberia. Putin should be looking pretty good about now!

I think for the most part these people have good intent, but don't realize how close we are to being conquered from with in. The arhcrtect of Romneycare, so as the little people can have insurance too, is a socialist. Plain and simple. With either, Romney or Obama, socialism wins.
We need a brokered convention. Romney must be stopped.
In all seriousness, Raven, here is what I posted yesterday on another thread.
We conservatives have some difficult choices to make. Signing this petition may be symbolic, but it has no actual affect and everyone knows it. This might as well be Dennis Kucinich and his monthly bill to impeach George Bush.
Here is where things stand:
1) Currently, it appears as though Romney will garner enough delegates tomorrow to capture the nomination. If that actually happens, a lot of us will stay home November because we just can’t bring ourselves to vote for him.
2) The Rush kerfuffal has allowed the left to divert attention from other things and, IMO, it will give them a cause and a reason to go after conservatives, conservatism and talk radio in a way we have never seen before.
3) We know that the left is not concerned about the future of America, only about increasing or adding to their power. To that end, they have reduced education to propaganda, driven God out of the schools and are working on driving God out of America, and are now desperately trying to maintain their hold on our healthcare as well as turning sex into a public sport; starting with the likes of Ms. Fluke!
4) As we watch our country descend into a third world abyss from which it is unlikely we will ever return, is hoping for victory at the ballot box in November or signing pointless petitions REALLY the best we can do? In the late 1950s, Rosa Parks objected to the fact that black Americans were required to occupy the back of the bus and took action. In the 1960s, black Americans objected to being treated like second class citizens and took to the streets as well as becoming Freedom Riders; a cause that led to the death of many of them. Meanwhile, we conservatives sit around assuring ourselves that things will change in November. If Romney ends up as our candidate, we know how November is going to turn out - Obama will get his second term and America will breath its last gasp as a free nation.
So, I ask you - is this the best we can do? Are we so apathetic that we are unwilling or afraid to take the necessary action to regain control of our country?? At best, we can hope to divide America into two countries - one America for conservatives and one America for those whose sole goal in life is to suckle the teat of big government. At worst, we lose our country and our freedom and become Greece or Europe.
WE can choose what tomorrow looks like. But, if tomorrow is going to be bright and shiney, the time for choosing is growing very short. What’s it going to be - fish, or cut bait?
That all sounds great, really. How about fleshing it out with some actual actions that you think we should take?

Electoral districts have republican central committees. They are comprised of elected representatives to the republican party.
Do you know how to contact your central committee? Do you know who is on the committee? Have you ever attended their meetings?
Consider running for the committee. Consider using your influence on the committee to declare a platform and make the candidates stick to it.
Never give a penny of money until the party is cleaned out of the globalists and RINOs who are destroying it.
It's not easy to get through to liberals. I have lost two friends and my brother-in-law doesn't even speak to me any more. Believe me, I've tried waking them up. You just can't fix stupid.

RLT IMO the American people have been led in the name of progressive education/public school education- to ignore the Constitution. Our Legislators-and our Executive (especially the 0) and our Judiciary are all divided against themselves and under the Constitution discouraged from invading the turf of another branch.(Yet they are ,under our Constitution,expected to act a checks,and a balance?to each other?) And IMO the bulk of the American people are content to remain in the supine until /unless someone else ACTS to correct the wrongs Then they will support him(i.e. Judge Roy S.Moore of Alabama) so long as there is No cost to the citizen armchair warrior.If the citizen is the one attacked there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. I try to read the FR every day. I seldom see a pro Romney Article from a FR Poster. The vast majority of Freepers do not pick Romney for their first choice as president, I dare say however that the same vast majority can find a lot of differences between Romney and Obama. To say they are the same is a little over the top.
I am not yet convinced Romney can win the nomination although it appears that he has more support than my choice. We don’t always get what we want. I wanted Goldwater to be president so badly I could taste it, I never wanted Carter, I wanted Nixon and got him, look how that turned out.
Whomever wins the nomination on the republican side I will support. They will be way better than 4 more Obama years. Even Rick Santorum is not perfect, I’m not sure how good a candidate he will make. My inclination is that a sack of potatoes can beat Obama, I know I would vote for the potatoes over Obama. Lets hope I don’t have to vote for the “moderate” Romney, but vote for him I will if the choice is Obama and Romney.

Damaged people I can have compassion for, I do not believe liberals are damaged, they are and choose to be ignorant. They do what they think feels good.
There is no excuse in this day of Internet on our cell phones to be ignorant but our society is ignorant. The left wants to keep it that way, the MSM wants to keep us ignorant so they can make our decisions for us.
There may indeed be a time when Jefferson's words about a little revolution now and then being good for a republic to be proven. It will be very messy, the winners will be heroes and the losers will lose all they have including their lives. I'm and old man so I don't have much to lose.
It could be so much cleaner though if we would all educate our neighbors, take them to TEA Party events, help educate them about the candidates. We need to make sure those of our own family are not ignorant. I have one daughter who could no longer stand the indoctrination her children received in school and took them out to home school. It's a big commitment but that is the sort of thing we must be willing to do. Education is the key, the truth will set you free.
Government always seek more power, always think they know what is best. The reality is that the government is the most short sighted and ill informed of any group. Government is best when it is small.
We have let all this happen. Why do we need someone in Washington to tell us what to eat? Why do we need someone in Washington to tell us not to smoke? Why do we need someone in Washington to tell us how much gas mileage our car should get. Why do I need someone in Washington to tell me not to pollute the air that I breathe.
My mother and father taught me all those things. If the government didn't subsidize little girls having babies they wouldn't and then all kids would have mothers AND fathers who would tell them the truths of life.
In my opinion, the federal government shouldn't be doing much more than keeping the standing military and putting up a few monuments to great people. If people want libraries and museums, free condoms and free lunch let them move to Europe. Our government is way too big. /p

The problem with your premise is that a substantially large (and growing) percentage of the American population DOES want “socialism”, and will vote for those who promise to impose it.
Within ten years, this “divide” (socialists vs. traditionalists) will be at or very close to the tipping point. What then?

They would like you to believe that it is a substantial amount of the country that wants socialism. I think it is much less then advertised. The big thing, is those that are bent on socialism do their utmost to vote. Most of all others who do not want socialism, don’t vote.
The republican party has significant monetary and other resources that were donated to them by loyal Americans.
You are wrong to think it should be abandoned to the communists. You are just empowering communism, if that’s what you think we should do.

Central committee elections are coming up in California in the June election.
Find out about your central committee, who is up for re-election and if they are honest conservative citizens.
Or, run yourself.
Regardless, work with your friends, neighbors and acquaintances to vote out the RINOs and crumb bums.
If I may, I think we are past the point of educating, motivating and executing well crafted plans. The Tea Party gatherings have proven that large events can be held with little notice that get the attention of the DBM and the left. We've done it, many times across the country!
What is needed is to follow the examples set by Rosa Parks and the Freedom Riders and send some strong messages to the Washington elites - primarily Obama and the Dems AND the establishment Republicans - that their days of taking America to the landfill piece by piece are OVER!!! WE, the PEOPLE, OWN this government lock, stock, and barrel and Washington needs to get a clear message who the boss is!!
There's a lot at stake, here. We're accustomed to playing by the rules; following the law and working hard for our livelihoods. Our future and the future of our kids and grandkids have been mortgaged by a handful of radicals whose hatred of this country supercedes any desire to leave it in better shape than they found it!
But, do we imagine for a moment that Rosa Parks wasn't afraid when she refused to move to the back of the bus?? Do we imagine that the Freedom Riders weren't afraid when they confronted cadre after cadre of state police everywhere they went? Of course they were, but they did it anyway!!
We keep looking for a reason to take action when that reason is right in front of us. It is the continued assault on freedom and religion; the continued assault on free thinking and success; the continued assault on America's uniqueness and exceptionalism by our own politicians!! It is the assault on our history of being the world's good guy who helps others try to become us. We didn't become that "beacon of freedom" in the world by emulating Europe and cowering before dictators, we became the "beacon of freedom" in the world by d@mning the torpedoes and going full speed ahead!!!

You might not see the pro-FR articles, but they are there nevertheless. I saw two or three this morning alone, from the same person.
It’s your choice to vote for whomever you want, of course. But I think we shouldn’t make the mistake of calling Romney a moderate when he is, in fact, a liberal. Someone who is pro-abortion and panders to homosexuals will never get my vote.
