Silly ~ with no Conservative in the Virginia race Romney's numbers fell off the planet.

There is NO REPUBLICAN PARTY at all without the Conservative vote.

The Big Republican Dogs have got to put that into their computer and start cranking out answers.

The Republican Establishment has failed ~ it no longer exists as a source of votes.

Romney is not, to my reckoning, running as a Conservative. He's running as an Establishment Republican ~ same trick Barry Goldwater did.

It doesn't work.

The way you win elections is you first hold your base, and then you peel off a faction from the other side.

Romney cannot get the base behind him. He will not succeed in attracting a faction that would probably otherwise vote Democrat!

The faction we need to attract is made up of UNEMPLOYED YOUNG MALES, and MARGINALLY EMPLOYED YOUNG PEOPLE age 19 to 34.

They are ripe. Obama left them unemployed and with no credit rating for the last 4 years.

Why would they vote for any candidate who reminds them of the boss' who laid them off.

The good news is this entire primary process has pretty much laid bare the establishment's death grip on the outcome, and in the rawest terms their failure to understand the dynamics at work in their own party.

The bad news is with four more years of Obama in front of us there's no time left for conservative factions to take advantage of the coming collapse of the GOP establishment.

Failure of the Republican Establishment to get out the vote in Virginia is pretty much a nightmare scenario isn't it.

I think we need to get Priebus and his crowd, and most of the state committee chairman to RESIGN and let others move forward now. We have time to organize for the election but it's pretty obvious the Establishment has NO relevant number of votes to command in Virginia or any other state.

The only reason people have been showing up is to vote for Conservative candidates.

The Establishment has already collapsed. There is no "there" there!

“delusional beyond belief”

This in reference to the belief that Santorum can win the general election.

I don't believe he'll win the nomination, and will work against it. If he does I will vote for him in the general.

But yes, "delusional beyond belief" is an apt description of those who believe he can win the general election.

I think you’re wrong. I’ll try to find the polls, but I believe Rick was up nine point in Michigan before his debate meltdown, and a series of foot in mouth moments. I also believe he had a double digit lead in Ohio, and collapsed allowing Romney to come from behind. All states are not equal. Rick won a series of irrelevant contests, and a bunch of unbound delegates (I don’t know the precise rules, but I think you’ll find that if the establishment deems it necessary to get those delegates behind Romney, Rick will end up short). Rick has absolutely no chance of beating Romney or Obama, and his supporters are delusional to think continue thinking otherwise.

Rick’s commitment to big government (Medicare Part D, NCLB for examples), and expressed hostility to individualism are going to make it next to impossible for him to garner support when we are at a tipping point with regard to big government (very soon the takers will outnumber the coerced)|, and on the verge of financial collapse. Rick Santorum is a dedicated statist that hides behind notions of freedom. His record and own words prove that.

I am 100% behind Newt Gingrich. The man with a vision. Win, lose, or draw I will stand by my principles.

That is like still being a Pawlenty supporter. Newt is out of this thing. There is no math that rationally shows him having even a shot at brokering a convention, much less beating Milt. The only one left able to knock Milt out is Rick and that is only if he runs the table here on out.

As for your nonsense about Rick being a Statist, it is BS. I love the people who are backing Newt calling Rick a Statist when Newt was the one writing books on Cap and Tax (Contract with the Earth), was a poor gun rights supporter as Speaker(Rick has the highest NRA rating of any of the candidates), wants to increase Fed spending for Moon bases, went on tour with Rev Sharpton for education "reforms", actually voted for the Dept of Education being created, backed Milts health mandates, toured with Hitlery to have the Federal Govt' control our health records, joins in on Algore's group peddling man made global warming (see Newt on couch with Pelosi), is for ethanol subsidies, et al. Just because Newt is running around promising $2 gas and throwing around red meat doesn't erase the last ten years of his history.

There used to be a saying about folks living in glass houses.

Rick is on record as being hostile to individualism. As to the issue of big government Rick has a very long record of supporting big government. I encourage you to use Google.
