Um, Romney has attacked Rick just as much. For days, it has been non-stop attack ads here in OH, and Santroum is holding his own. Face it - as much as I like Newt -he is a very flawed canddiate and can’t win.

Good heavens Romney is leading Santorum by 1% of the vote in OH and some here are in denial, like they were in MI, that a Romney win in OH where he outspent Santorum by 5 to 1, is due EXCLUSIVELY because of Gingrich’s presence. This is a catastrophe fueled by one’ man’s ego to insure that he shares the spotlight. We began here “Le Resistance” to Romney, and Gingrich is acting like the fifth columnist, splitting the conservative vote, and allowing Romney to sneak through the breach.

You conveniently left out the fact that the GOP establishment (Dole, Abrams, Bush) orchestrated a co-ordinated smear of Newt during the week of the critical Florida election. Those smears were equivalent of millions of dollars in negative ads directly aimed at Republican voters who were favorable to Newt by double digits after his South Carolina blowout win.
Rick, by contrast, hasn't experienced anywhere the degree of smears by the GOP establishment because he is mostly aligned with those in Washington.
