I don’t think anyone should drop out. I want to hear ALL their ideas, because that means more voters than just Republicans are hearing them. The more conservative notions are given publicity, the better for the country.

It is what it is. I’m praing fro santorum, but if Mitt is the nominee, then so be it. I will vote for a pet rock and do all I can to elect a pet rock rather than let obama get 4 more years.
As plain as the nose on anyones face is the pure idiocy of “sitting this one out” and letting obama win.

Florida deserves to be on that list, for moving the whole process up a month!

And sadly, another illustrious name deserves to be on it. Divisions within the RINO side, and the Conservative side, of the GOP weaken each compared to the other side. This campaign, as in 2000, the RINOs settled early, even before most thought things were started, behind one candidate and his money. Their announced token alternatives, TPaw and Huntsman, were discarded early on and their unannounced alternatives, Christy, Daniels and Trump settled for media slurpies. The Conservatives also thought they'd settled on one candidate early, only to fall into a belated free for all when SHE turned into Wasill-a'-the-wisp. Had SHE explicitly run, or not run, six months earlier, more of the vetting and thinning of the Conservative field would have happened in time for an actually united Conservative wing to face the united RINO wing at the start of the actual vote counting. Instead I, and many others, after a wisp and a bimbo, found ourselves a month from voting without a candidate. Instead of eagerly awaiting the coming of Ain't Mitt we were left fighting over an indigestible Christmas fruitcake of 'conservative' candidates while the RINOs opened their presents. And SHE's still pushing fruitcake even though her pile was only 1/7th of the crumbs in her own state.

If I were you I’d blame Foxney News and all their “fair and balanced” news pundits. Lets start with Meghan Kelly, Brit Hume, Tokyo Rove, Bill Cristol and Krauthammer. Then you can move on to the GOP establishment who circles the wagons for Mitt on a daily basis. These are the culprits who will give us Myth as a presidential candidate. God help us all.

>>...If Mittens wins the GOP-E “Nomination”...<<

Then he will have received the most votes. The ugly, unvarnished truth is that Freerepublic (unfortunately) is not representative of the country. Not even close.

This entire election has been peppered with folks — freepers included — drawing lines in the sand. If either Gingrich or Santorum dropped out, a whole bunch of their supporters would vociferously refuse to support whoever remained, purely out of spite.

For a bunch of folks, their decision *may* have started out as a reasoned choice based upon on principle, character, issue positions, whatever. But it has since turned purely emotional, they have dug in their heels and there is no way in hell they are going to be turned back around.

This has been one of the most devisive elections I’ve witnessed. I blame the MSM for their seemingly concerted effort to maximize the drama, the GOP for trying to cram a pre-selected “next-in-line” candidate down our throats and whoever nominated this poor assortment of candidates. If this is the best we have to offer, how can we ever expect to reverse the decades of damage the progressives have inflicted on this country.
