If the Corgi had the (ahem) pittbull down by the throat, would he have shot it instead?

The bigger dog was being aggressive. I don’t have a problem with this.

No the cop, everytime a dog gets shot the cops are in a fearful state.

I can’t say I blame them when speaking of a vicious dog which a pit bull is certainly capable of being.

“The dog then died, police said.”
LOL! Are these fifth graders writing stories such as this one?

I know, and there are times when it would be necessary. Just that they say this every single time, even when the dog is chained up.

In Pacifica the home owner would be in jail for shooting agressive dog or person for breaking in to home. Good work - one round, one dead dog. Glad they responded so quickly.
When I grew up there 50 years ago, the dog owner would take care of an agressive dog, or we would and they would say sorry for the problem. Then came all the libs, and they spread like a virus.

Why use a tazer when ya’ have the chance to blow the dog away. /s
All gun carrying cops should be required to undergo some form of canine training.

I don’t know if it sucks for the killers. But it sucks for the people and animals exposed to interacting with the “endangered” killer.

For no good reason, this reminded me of when my wife and I were first married. We lived in a community that was divided by canals, and several canals over there was a Saint Bernard that would walk around to our house to carry our dachshund to his house. Our dachshund never got hurt, except for his pride.

I can’t think of any good reason to shoot a chained up dog unless it had proven in the past to be a threat.

Not all dogs have the ability to inflict sever injury when they are vicious unless the victim is an infant. Most adults will suffer very little damage from the attack of a Chihuahua or a yorkie. Not so concerning large breeds.
