Peyton Manning will become the next quarterback of the Denver Broncos, barring a snag during intensified contract negotiations that have commenced under the instruction of the four-time MVP to his agent Tom Condon, according to multiple sources.
Once the Manning deal becomes official, Denver will try to trade Tim Tebow, according to sources.

I hope the Cards are interested in Tim
Tebow is marketing gold for whatever franchise decides to pick him up.
May G-d Bless Payton, but the Broncos are and probably will be last this season when his neck is an issue, again, with no “Hail Mary” Tebow to keep the crowd happy.
Hope the “source” is wrong and Tim stays to learn and be a ready back-up for the often injured Manning.
Hope Miami wants him.
Peyton was never “often injured” he has the record for consecutive starts.
You'd better believe that Jacksonville is on the short list.
“I hope the Cards are interested in Tim.”
Same here...it would definitely add some excitement to next season.
You may want to talk with old number 4 about that record LOL. Bret was the man and Peyton is a fair distance behind him. Just the same Peyton is a true class act, as is Tim, I hope this works out as a positive for Tim, I’m assuming he could solve the attendance problems in Jacksonville.
How about Dallas on the short list?
Dallas just signed Kyle Orton to back Romo.
Sign Tebow anyway and waive Steve McGee. Anything to wake up Romo.
Not so fast ... depends on what a prospective team is willing to give up for Timmy. The Broncos need a backup to Manning ... Tebow knows the Bronco system. If the Broncos get a really sweet deal in a Tebow trade they may bite ... they won't give him away.

The Lions should pick up Tebow that would be great. The Broncos will live to regret it.
The Broncos won't get more than a 3rd round pick for Tebow. You heard it here first.
Surprised he went with Denver... the likelihood of playing eight home games in brutal cold weather will take its toll on a neck injury. No dome in Denver, Peyton.
Good
Tim can come here to the Titans
:)
Me too, but with Miami's new coach, no way. I'd rather have Tebow than the coach, though. Let Tebow coach and be QB.
Too Roman. LOL!
Big mistake to trade off Tebow and pickup Manning considering his age and neck problems.
Silly me!
Confusing 4 spinal surgeries with “injuries”....
God is on Tebow’s side I think... :)
Wonder why the Broncos don’t keep Tebow for a year and have him train with Manning & Elway?
Elway was planning on training him during the off-season anyway. That way, he’d have been insurance in case Manning got re-injured.
Do the Broncos play the Saints this year? If so, I wonder what the "bounty" will be on putting Payton in a wheelchair.
If Denver is smart they will keep Tebow and play him as a “Slash” player giving him around 10-15 touches a game where he can be handed off to, throw, or go out as a reciever.
All the while he can continue to learn and hone his QB skills, and in 2-4 years when Peyton hangs em up he would be ready to step in as starter.
The exact schedule’s not out yet, but the Bronco’s will be playing the Saints in 2012. Any bets on whether Manning will survive that game???
See post #30
I wouldn’t wanna be in Peyton’s Place.
I hate to think that but they certainly know his “weaknesses” by now.
Finally I can get back to disliking the Broncos, golden boy John Elway even ticked me off last season.
Florida really needs a good NFL team. G-d help us!
Hopefully Tebow can turn around the Jags. He would certainly fill the stands for a change.
I believe the Broncos would just like to get rid of Tebow, even if someone would just claim him and pay him his salary owed? Elway despises Tebow for some reason?
Care to?
I opened up a new tab and thought that’s what I saw, should have actually clicked the link.
I get what he’s saying but there’s no need to act like he’s the Ken Griffy Jr. of the NFL.
I’m surprised he went to Denver a little..but what I’m more surprised about is that he signed for 5 years.
I think his window is about 3 years. I don’t know what to think about this spinal rehabilitation but it could be his window is 3 plays.
If he’s healthy, stays healthy, the Broncos are instant SB contenders.
Tebow will be fine no matter what, he is not some shallow, crotch obsessed juvenile in a man’s body. He can sell tickets and he can win games.
And to those that say “well, let him stay in Denver and learn from Manning” remember he is a left-handed QB, so if you are going to force him into a West coast or Run-and-Gun, etc, he should be mentored by a lefty, not a gigantic ego like Manning who will want every snap.
Elway is a drip, always has been. I have nothing against Manning except that he played for the Irsay’s all those years. However, that said, I do not think Manning is the guy that will propel Denver to the superbowl. I think Elway and Manning will be singing a different tune come December.
Tebow doesn't conform to Elway's idea of what it takes to have a winning NFL franchise. Basically Tebow's mechanics are all wrong ... not the smooth throwing motion, footwork in the pocket, ability to read the defense & react accordingly that top rated QB's in the NFL who consistantly make Super Bowl appearances. What Tebow has is a winner mentality and leadership ability ... his team mates play above and beyond. This is discounted by Elway.
Here in Bronco country, I'm a long time Bronco season ticket holder, if Manning doesn't produce Elway's reputation takes a huge hit. Elway has a lot on the line ...
I was surprised at Denver, too. If I had been a quarterback, I’d have been chomping at the bit to go to Arizona. Their receivers are tops, and just need a QB who can get them the ball.
Peyton has had 4 neck surgeries.
One good whack and he’s gone.
Absolutely, but it does not work unless he is the starter
Need to commit to Tebow, build the offense around him, if it means ditching the run and shoot/west coast offense, then so be it.
It will be terribly disappointing if he ends up with a team where he is not the starter.
Also just on the business end, I think you lose much of the magic if he is only a backup. That`s just reality
Agreed..............
With or without previous surgery.....
FWIW-
Great!...It will be fun to watch every AFC WEST team tee off on Manning. Get Manning!
