Why Is Brit Hume Viciously Attacking Newt?

Posted on 03/21/2012 4:41:28 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55

Is there something I'm missing?

Brit Hume seems to have a personal problem with Newt?

Last night on Greta when asked why Newt was staying in the race.. Hume basically said that Gingrich likes to hear himself talk.

Seriously? What is the reason for such personal attacks?

Brit, Rick, Newt, and Herman Cain are speaking at the PA Leadership Conference this weekend.

His deathly serious manner has served to hide the fact that he’s about as bright as Hannity.

That's unfair and wrong. Hume is an excellent political analyst. He obviously does not like Newt. That's his prerogative -- a lot of people don't.

But I disagree with Brit analysis that Newt is staying in the race to “hear himself talk”

Hume is the funeral director for the GOP-E.

Get a grip! There’s not going to be a ‘miracle’

You are probably right, and I will vote for the nominee - I just won't like it at all.

Brit like everyone fails to see that Newt is the smartest cat out there, the only one Bambi is dealing with and the only one that deserves to be President

If anyone says anything not positively glowing about Newt, it is a vicious attack.

Rick Santorum should just shut his piehole because he makes too many Bidenblunders.

Testing. Testing. Is this mic on?

"Definitly not Santorum"

I feel the same way about Newt and Romney. Newt's dirty laundry, career politicking, and education don't motivate me, despite his great talking points. Romney is a Ken doll, seems fake to me. I don't know what a Mormon is?

Santorum is the only candidate that inspires me, but I was fooled, like many others, into thinking that a vote for Santorum would be wasted. Most people I know feel the same.

"One thing you can take away from an interview with Brit Hume- he is an honest reporter."

By 'honest reporter', do you mean HUME reports it 'as he sees it', or 'as it really is' ?

Scarborough gets involved in entirely too many Capitol Hill killings.

Not comfortable at all with that.

At his best, he’s a master of the obvious. At his worst, he’s embarrassing. Listen to him closely.

He’s much like the woman on the Fox All Stars who is so forgettable that I can’t remember her name. She pushes conventional wisdom in an utterly forgettable way.

Really people. Stop with the BS already. Newt has negative numbers for the same reason Obama used to have positive numbers. It the media STUPID, and the ads. As far as that lame comment from Brit regarding Newt liking to hear himself talk so that is why he is staying in the race....GIVE ME A BREAK. It is long past the time if you are going to trash a candidate, do it on substance. Also, instead of trashing a candidate for something as dumb as he likes to hear himself talk, why don't you try pimping YOUR candidate with substance, assuming there is any. Our country is going down and it is going down for one reason, voters. All you have to do is read the dumb comments on thread after thread to know things will not get any better.

Still the professional newsies continue to appear amazed that Romney still can't get any votes from the party's base.

I can only suppose they imagine that Republicans will see that Romney sounds like a winner and go that way.

This is very similar to Osama Bin Laden's idea that people will see a strong horse and a weak horse and they will follow the strong horse.

In reality, AlQaida political theory is entirely too simple and not at all attractive to real Americans. We saw that in the Virginia primary where the establishment offered a "cr*p" sandwich and no one came. Illinois yesterday was more of the same ~ everybody in that state knows the criminals in Chicago are going to control the outcome ~ so they had a RECORD LOW TURNOUT!

Romney still barely made 40%.

How many times do the people have to send that message to the newsies and their running dog lackeys at the top of the Republican party before someone gets the idea WE DON'T WANT ROMNEY.
